all companies work in favor of those at the top. That is what some people strive for. I don't want to headaches of being a CEO. I like being a drone in the hive, happy with what I have accomplished.

And yes part of living in a society, requires some coming together to support needs of the society. But taking from the rich to make it fair or equal is wrong.

 

Just take a look at the history of this country, at the turn of the century capitalist monopolies ruled (these are the same families that rule today), YOUR great-grandparents created UNIONS and fought for fair wages, work hours, etc. Now look how you and so many others roll over, defending the very people who DON'T compensate you fairly so that they can make obscene profits. And, yes, they profit and benefit from cheap labor and overcharge American consumers who purchase their goods and services so they SHOULD contribute more. Instead, they are one's who get tax breaks. Wow, we are really taking from the rich! Also, what you are saying is that social Darwinism is okay...maybe if we were all starting and playing on an even playing field, but do you really believe that? The rich and powerful love weak-minded sheep who are afraid to demand fair treatment. I came on here to see what people were saying about lease op which seems to be a total rip- you are paying to maintain their trucks, you are paying for your own insurance, and you can't go home without going in the hole, are you for real? Yeah, what a GREAT deal. Just like on many sites, I see how far we have sunk when so many people are so gratefully screwed.

They weren't trained on APU's?? Really? Thermo king is a manufacturer of our APU's. You trying to tell me that TK brand service center doesn't have mechanics trained on APU's? So basically when some untrained Pat or ED worked on my APU without a license I'd have ground for suing. Do you really think TK is so stupid they'd risk that?

Then, after money ran out, doctors refused to treat them, so they died. Leaving their spouses with tremendous debt.

Fir the most part both liberal and conservatives are good people. The difference is whether you believe the solutions to social and economic problems belongs with government or with private charity. Good liberals and good conservatives are right when it is realized that solutions to these problems belong with self, not someone else.

As far as the evil CEOs. Go meet one, ask questions. I have and I can tell you that they love to tell you how they got there. Some might find an investment opportunity in your small business. Even the most evil CEO produces something. What does government produce?
Hatred, animosity, division etc. This is because government is force, not charity. If you force someone against their will, all these things blossom. If you convince someone of your cause, whatever it is or help someone with theirs, liberals, conservatives, and even cats and dogs can live together. It's all about beatitudes folks.

 

I have a t660 since it had 3 miles on it. In 2 years, I may purchase this very t660 for fair market value. I don't want a brand new 2011. Too many problems with them, and too much extra costs.

You don't even know who ED or Pat are???? Not all TK shops are thermo king, but are independent shops that contract to work on thermo king... your ignorance is showing again.

I agreed to work for the wages offered. So did you. Don't like the wages offered, find a different employer, or start your own company. Everyone is worth what the market will pay them. Even if you don't think they deserve it. I don't kiss their feet, I don't hate them either because they have more money and possessions than me.

And you where indoctrinated by the public schools to believe that government is the solution, and that rich people are evil...

You will find out the hard way. Bet you don't even know there are more new rules coming this year.

 

Wow, this blows my mind...Let's recap, you get recruited by a big trucking company because they promise good wages, a trip home once a month, and to pay off the the ridiculously expensive tuition for training-$8,000 I believe. Then when you start working for them, you find out you really don't get the loads they promised or the money, and you're lucky to get home maybe once every two months (at a loss), and they tell you than they don't have to pay back for your training tuition because "that's a benefit." Then they tell you how much better off you'd be if you go "independent" and you are now stuck in a lease or you pay out the nose. Oh, and now you REALLY can't go home because they are still charging you a $600 lease driving or not and all the maintainence on the truck. Hmmm, must be missing something...I don't need to ask the CEO how he got to the top, it's fairly obvious with the big corporate boot on my head. Once I get them to pay the portion of my tuition they agreed to pay and my lease is up, then I guess I have the choice to leave, until then it's indentured servitude.
