I'm just a pizz ant company driver. But I know our company makes in the neighborhood of $3- $3.30 a mile hauling meat. And they don't pass it on to the drivers either. The lease and o/o's drivers get like .92/mi before being raped. It's hard to believe a bottom feeder is paying extra when they don't have to?
Tree, you almost got the thread going back in the right direction!![]()

Naah, go in to get abducted by aliens Monday to get prodded to check on what we are hoping is a false alarm. But symptoms are not looking too good. My doctors said go and I'll jump through this hoop! Trust me it's better to know early that be stupid like I was and have a long dance with the fat lady!
Yeah I've given about all the positive information I can to the rookies I can think of until another one asks a good question!
But I just love the "pompom boy"! I've forgotten how to "track" on the net or I'd have his cubicle down for everyone!
Some of the stuff that comes off of his KB just defies even my active imagination!
I'm probably just moody the past month I guess! LOL, male womanpause I guess?
Hey they named 3 of theirs after men why can't we do the same! ROFL!
Now, I hope some of those in need take Tree up on that offer! It's better to be healthy than live with a doctor! Trust me on this! Well, unless you're married with one!
Lets get this thread back on track! We've had fun with the cheerleader for a while! Besides it's cheating when they're as easy as he is! LOLSweetSouthernRide Thanks this. -
The cost of brokering is much less then having you haul it. Why do you think JB Hunt cut the size of their fleet & started brokering? Because they can still make money off the load without the major expenses.
Carriers who broker a load to an outside contractor such as Eskimo only charge 10%.... So yeah.... Eskimo will make more money off the load then you ever will.
Now you really need to step away from PRIME and go into a real O/O position.... Then you'll learn that there is no such thing as a backhaul!
And you are nothing more then a glorified company driver. A real O/O will have more freedom then what you have at PRIME. What happens when things at Prime go bad? Can you take your truck & move it to a different company? Ofcourse you can't..... Prime won't even allow you to do the speed limit in a truck your suppose to own.
And apparently you have never bought a House or a car.... Or you have no comprehension of math. The shorter the term, the lower the interest rate. The longer the term, the higher the interest rate.... Jeez, my 7 year old even knows that.
You show me yours to prove that $7.96 per mile load & I'll show you mine when I get home.
PRIME Inc. = Please Remember I Mortgaged Everything I Need Cash
I don't know your costs either.... But if your pulling a PRIME trailer, your pulling cheap freight.
Trade up, 2Tall and SweetSouthernRide Thank this. -
Thats the best one yet. -
It'd be funny if REDD had actually posted something original, instead of copying it. Whassa matter REDD? PMS gettin' to ya?Last edited: Dec 5, 2010

That's funny....I read REDD's post and thought it was right on target.
And all you have as a reply is a not very witty personal attack?
The little credibility that you might have had is fading fast... -
Ya know, I could care less. I post what is the truth here at Prime. You and REDD can and do have an opinion, that is very biased, and is not based on actuality. I don't really have time to pick apart REDDs post today - and am not really interested in getting in a pissing match with you two. I've got better things to do with my time.
Credibility? I post the truth, and nothing more. -
It long past time to get this thread back on topic.
Who is the biggest liar has been beat to death.ironpony Thanks this. -
I have spoken to several PRIME recruiters about what requirements they have and they are fast to mention no criminal record/DWI's/clean work history but never have I heard "you can't be over ___ BMI." -
WHAT are you so worked up about?Everything I have read here, and driver"s for Prime I have talked to on the road, well, your better off NOT being there anyway.
