Ya i know right...i started off in a tandem dump and have been driving a lowboy for the past year and a half...tried to get the boss to cough up a raise on several occasions but It seems Im gonna have raise my ### to another company to get it....I NEVER said I was fit, I said I was HEALTHY(no physical problems except for a lil gut) but when im not moving equipment(which varies from once a day to once a week) im busting my 5ft 11inch 240lb frame shoveling/heavy lifting etc. I can walk 10 miles in the 100 plus degree heat or 30 degree freezing cold no problem, but i do smoke. I brought those things up to get an understanding of the physical aspect of the work. Who knows about this job though...Im having the same experience as Comm so far...i went to the interview last week and felt good about my chances of getting the job, the trans manager tells me to think about it and discuss it with my wife and call him back, now its thursday and ive left two messages on his phone but he hasnt called me back.![]()

That's the good thing about OTR. Doesn't matter wtf you are. And I've worked like a dog in Iraq and all kinds of other sheit.Sleeptalker Thanks this. -
MBM wants me to come in for an interview in Rocky Mount. Since I hear there is differences between DCs I was wondering what is usually the best DC in Rocky Mount to work out of, the one on N. Church St., Meadowbrook Rd, or the one in Battleboro. Also, was wondering about were the routes out of these locations typically go. Basically, does anyone know the range that the DCs in Rocky Mount USUALLY service? (since most routes are only 1-2days)

I am amazed at what I have read about MBM on here. I run out of Montgomery Al. I have 2 dedicated routes. Tue I leave DC at 1230 am arrive at first stop at 6am my day is done at 230pm. 14 hours. second day first stop 5am so whats that? 14.5 hour break. back in montgomery by 5pm home by 630. My second route is about the same. I make about 650 per route. I sleep in my own bed 4 nights a week. If you fudge your log you get wrote up. You get so many write ups they will fire you. Maybe other terminals are bad but ours is not. Full disclaimer I hate two of the dispatchers real jerk and real witch but I make enough to let it roll off my back. I was on extra board for less than 2 months. All these folks trashing MBM would not feel that way if they worked with us. The only complaint I have about the slip seating is some people smoke and I dont. But most times if I go to get in a truck that stinks of smoke I just find one that is smoke free and go trade keys. I have said it before. I am proud to work for MBM. They pay me a fair wage and I can afford to have my son on the great insurance they make available.
