Takin' a shower every three days is nasty!

Rollin' around on a creeper with coveralls on and actually doing your job is not.

The story that I get here is that YOU think you're too good to do a proper inspection of your truck and from what I've read here, Your husband doesn't do them either for whatever reason you're spouting today.

The bottom line is, It's not getting done or at the very least it's not getting done very often.

Nasty, Lazy and incompetent is what I read!

I said every 2-3 days. If one rolls around on the ground underneath a truck, yes, I agree. That's gross. However, I don't get nasty and stinky by driving an air-conditioned truck for two days in the summer, or three days in the winter. I don't do driver unloads, and on the rare occasion that I would be permitted to help with one, I would certainly be wanting a shower afterward. If I rolled around in piss under a truck, I would definitely want a shower every day, but I don't do that.

Like I said, if you want to roll around in piss, and you don't think that's nasty, go for it. I don't have to smell you, and I don't care.

Actually, I was responding to comments about making your own repairs to a truck. Although they are often done in conjunction, repairing is not the same thing as inspection. I do the inspection that I was taught to do in truck driving school, with some modifications to make it practical. We were not taught to roll around in piss, the DOT does not require us to roll around in piss, and there is not reason to do it...unless you happen to enjoy it...in which case, more power to you.

What's not getting done? Do you even know what we're talking about?

Greasy, piss-covered, overall-clad redneck is what I'm reading, and I'll be happy to trade insults all day long, if that's what you want to do.

There is NO excuse for not showering every day out here unless your just too dam lazy. I can see ONCE in awhile maybe...if your pushing it....but once every THREE days ?
Really?? - Do you start sprouting mushrooms by then?

Does this correlate with the "annual change" of the bed sheets? :biggrin_25512:

WTF? :biggrin_2556: ...it's no wonder truckers have the image the public sees....

I wasn't always a truck driver, and I don't always go out with the truck. That's why I took my length of driving experience off of my profile...it is too difficult for people to understand, and I get stupid questions.

WD40 is for amateurs, and so is Black and Decker. If you were to show up for your first day as a professional mechanic with WD40 and Black and Decker tools in your box, you would be laughed out of the shop. That was my original point.
