i just got done with orientation(waiting on a mentor now) and they told us in class that you can take 2 days of home time without turning in your truck but 3+days and you have to turn in your truck then wait to get a truck when your ready to come back. sorry if someone else already said this but i just saw your post and i have to get on the bus soon and am packing so i didnt have the time to do a read of the whole thread.

I use my Sprint Nav,and my Nally. It works better than just the Nally alone.I'm cursed/blessed with no Qualcom.Someone one cut the cord on the keyboard, and vanished the mushroom antenna.Trk is supposed to have been a stolen recovery when I seated it.I think it was more the case of a disgruntled lease operator getting back at the company for being $cr3wd.Matt

I think Hamshoe has it right. I have taken 5 days in Orlando, had to be 5 in order to get the deal; 9 days at home while the truck was parked in E-ville, they could have thrown my stuff in a corner and given it up; and, I know I'll be challenged on this one, an 11 week leave of absence, they came and got the truck after week 10 . . it was an on going saga.

If you're keeping the truck upright and the customers happy, no one is going to take that truck away, within reason. If it's getting to the point that no one wants to hear from you any more, they're not going to be hearing from you any more.

Yeah but why would would anybody forbid a GPS ? Is this a control issue?

And on the truck / home time thing. Mgrs are bonus driven and they run profitability / utilization reports all the time..... to quote one manager..." there's 168 hrs in a week, I want the truck to roll 100 of those and the mechanic underneath it the other 68"

Ahh yep, uh huh.....be right there....sign me up...

Because GPS doesn't take low clearances and similar things into account. Too many drivers have been relying on GPS alone and getting into trouble with them. :biggrin_25524:

JB Hunt does the exact same thing. More than two days and you give it up. I just started a new company and I got the truck, they sent me home over the weekend to set it up the way I want it. The morning I was supposed to leave I had a death in the family so I called in and they told me to keep the truck and call when im ready to roll. No questions asked. This outfit has been nothing but straight forward and they are definetely concerned about their drivers all the way across the board. Wish there were more like that

Most of our phone numbers are to someone that the sales person calls. They don't return calls, especially at 3am when you are trying to deliver.

THIS IS AN EASY FIX!!! ALL THESE YEARS ! YET NOBODY HAS DONE A THING!

Never heard of them asking for driver input. You know, the people that make it happen:biggrin_25513:

if the phone number doesn't work, get with your FM and let them know ASAP. Make them work for you, that's kind of what they are paid to do. use them to solve your problems, make sure they are giving you the correct information.
