I ate at one about 2 mths ago and was sick for 2 days, NEVER AGAIN...I wasn't a big fan of fast food before I started trucking and I'm still not, probably why I've lost almost 15lbs since I started...Salad, rice crackers, pretzels, coffee and the occasional subway sub is what I live on, happily!

I've lost 30 pounds since Sept. I live on soup and such. I have the portable oven. Best thing I bought since the XM Snap.

Fast food is tough. Cost too much and it will kill you. I typically only buy donuts out, other than that it's all about PB&J .... gotta love Goober.

i like the subway thing--eat 1/2 and rest goes in fridge for next snack
so hard to eat proper on road--i cant even do it at home--and to eat in the t/s is so expensive and after a couple really bad meals i gave that up pretty much completely
what i would love is a small side box so i could take a small bbq--micro wave gets old after awhile and the george foreman was great until it flew out of the closet and broke in 1/2

That's smart Walstib! If you don't eat right out there it can sneak up on you real fast! I tried to stay around 1200-1500 good calories a day. I also made it mandatory to try to exercise or do something physical for at least 30min a day. I had the dog with me and had to keep her going too. It helped me on those days you just don't want to get out of the truck! Personally I think that is the absolute hardest part of trucking!:walk::smt069:hello1::hello1::smt043:toothy7::sad11::tongue7::wav::blob5: Jump rope is good one too!

    misinformation

You have to spend a year working for a company that will treat you like a piece of garbage when you start out.

Once you have 1 year of experience you can get any job you want.

GPS will get you in trouble.

The new breed is wrecking the industry. (We didn't make it this way, this is how it was left for us, we're just trying to make it better.)

Look around you at the morons speeding through the parking lot, Backing into anything within 10 feet of their trailer, Parking at impossible angles at truckstops and taking up 2/3 parking spots, Whipping out in front of faster moving traffic to try to pass another slow truck thet they'll never even come close to passing, weaving all over the road while trying to text and drive....I could go on and on....The one thing that is predominant is that they are pretty much all the new breed of *cough* "driver".

Exactly how are you trying to make it better?

I've seen very little evidence of any young drivers doing anything but be self centered crybabies that do whatever's best for them with no regard for any of the other drivers out here!

    Les2 Thanks this.

When other drivers find out that I'm on electronic logs, they seem to think that it will shut off the truck if you're out of hours. Even if it is moving.
