Coleman must be half good, half bad. Some people get the good ones and swear by them. I've only bought one, because it only lasted a week, and wasn't very cold even for the few days it did work. I never bought another.

I'm all Koolatron now. They don't last forever, but they last longer than any other I've bought.

No version exclusively for trucks, BUT here is a great add-on that coupled with MS S+T's puts the program on a par with any of the truck specific GPS units costing several hundreds of $ more: http://www.truckstopsplus.com/.

If you don't already have MS S+T's you can download a fully functioning 60 day copy here: http://www.microsoft.com/streets/en-us/trial.aspx.
With the two programs working together you can easily locate the five major TS's and almost 5000 independants; super Wal Marts as well as identifying the ones that allow overnight truck parking; rest areas; fuel prices; and much more useful info. Truckstopsplus has a free download demo (acccess from their url above) for the state of Indiana only.

Another helpful website, for both MS S+T but laptop GPS's in general, can be found here: http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/749-tips-tricks-microsoft-streets-trips. A real time GPS locator can be added to the program too. I bought one from Amazon that works well: http://www.amazon.com/GR-213-USB-Ho...RDFO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1297219171&sr=8-1

And of course both programs are on the hard drive and always accessible without an internet connection. Access to current fuel price info, however, does require an internet connection.
