Parade Driving

    You should have a minimum of 2 (preferrably 4) adults walking beside the trailer. ABSOLUTELY no throwing candy or anything from the float. Allowing this to happen encourages kids to run from the crowd towards the trailer. Passengers should be seated unless there is a railing. I have done our small town Santa Claus parade for 15 years and I still get nervous. The thought of a youngster running out from the crowd terrifies me and always will.

    My grandparents (trucks owner) said they would be walking behind (or on a golf cart) in case of any "situation" which makes me feel a lot better about the whole deal.
