I hate the phrase 'packing heat' as it is widely used by anti-gun liberal media.
I carry all the time and always will. No apology. And I need not justify it to anybody. God given right, only affirmed by Fed and State Constitutions.Bankrobba, BNR32, Volvo92906 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Bankrobba Thanks this.

I'm a new driver, just out of training as a matter of fact.
But, while on the road I have never run into a situation that would require a firearm.
In fact, in my 55 years, I have never been in a situation that really required a firearm. Though, I was in one once that escalated because I was wearing one. It was only my reluctance to draw and fire that saved that boys life. Since he was threatening me with a knife, and advancing on me, I would have been fully justified by law to take him down. But a little thought, and a little talk, defused a situation that might have been avoided in the first place.
Is anything on your truck, or on your person, worth the life of another person - or your own? If so, by all means - pack a piece, and use it to your hearts desire.
Whatever... hope you don't get caught with it on your truck. It will end your driving career, since it is a felony to carry one on the truck.Bankrobba and Ranger_309 Thank this. -

There is no law regulating firearms in a cmv. The only law that can prevent you from carrying in your vehicle is that states CCW law and many have there own laws for carrying in your vehicle without a permit this is a good resource http://test.carryconcealed.net/packngo/index.php . Here is a good resource to see what states honor your concealed permit, http://www.usacarry.com/concealed_carry_permit_reciprocity_maps.htmlDozerCowboy Thanks this. -
But come into CA with it in your rig, and the cops find it, you are now offically state owned dog-meat, sitting in a prison cell, not in your rig.
Like I said, it all depends on the state. Might be just fine where you live, but I dont imagine it's CA, is it? -
yet another in the long list of threads and posts from those that wish to carry firearms, when all one had to do was LOOK and FIND such a thread already about this asinine subject...
why is it that people that want to start a career in trucking feel the need to ask such questions..??
does a mechanic NEED to carry..??
does a doctor NEED to carry..??
does a janitor NEED to carry...??
does a carpenter NEED to carry..??
why is it that truckers "feel the NEED" to carry...over any other occupation (other than police)....???
aren't all jobs dangerous..??
aren't lunatics EVERY WHERE and NO WHERE is safe..from them...???
do as you wish, good luck to you.
but to have started yet another thread about such a subject, and NOT SEEK OUT others.......is just plain laziness and ignorance on your part.Ranger_309, RedForeman, AZS and 2 others Thank this.
