So far I am not happy with the e-log. I keep forgetting to log it out when I am supposed too. So it is sucking up my 70.
Also company is making us flag a post trip by going on duty for 3-5 min and then flagging it.
I either forget or make it too long. Once again, sucking up my 70.
Hopefully I have a few more weeks to get use to it before they make me swap to it full time.

Hi, My name is Pvt Dan Milliken, California National Guard. im joining Central's program for training and company driver. NO money out of pocket except $166 since im military. This is one reason i joined. Id like to knwo if any of you know how they are about your drill time and how they treat service members. any advice for me in this company id appreciate too. I have heard that the lease program ill want to stay away from. that i should save money and then go buy my own truck. can i get a little advice on this? thanx
Ps im supposed to deploy this year.. how are they with deployments? -
you nailed it 1bad, it was a kraft load out of springfield. Dropped it today at kraft in Norcross, GA. You are right, after a few times, knowing what to expect would be better. I just took my time and made it through. But man, I was sweating when I finally hit the flat road.

Thanks! I love serving. Proud to do it too. I am at the tda clyde was my recruiter. He's told me what she's said, but I was hoping to hear first hand, since some people will tell u one thing but when you get there you find out different.
And trek fans huh? -
Done with orientation. Now sitting in motel tell Sat when my trainer is suppose to get here. He told me he has to get an alignment before we can leave so wont get out of here till Monday sometime. Guess welcome to the wonderful world of trucking. Cant wait to get out on the road and start learning.
Lady K Thanks this. -
Hey Milliken I suspect that they will probably hire you but when it comes to deployment you will have to turn your truck in. You will most likely have to go through orientation when you come back and probably training. Don't know if that's worth it to you. I left Central for a couple months for medical leave. We had to turn our truck in and when we came back had to go through orientation again. Your benefits start all over too. Do you know when you will be deployed? If it is less than a year I wouldn't bother going over the road.
