Dennys is ok...prices arnt to bad, BUT

I dont like that its like a regular resteraunt....

I like the old truck stop resturants with the bar and Big table so that drivers could eat together and talk.

I also do not like that Dennys is closed on allot of holidays! even though WE are still working and need to eat!

Maybe negotiate the price of your meal. The FAQ says they are all independent/franchise:So maybe if we all go in there, stand at the Cashiers desk and read the menu prices, then ask for the Manager. Explain to the manager their prices are for bankers and their ilk, and you/we are lowly truckers who need to negotiate a different price. If they don't negotiate, tell them to go straight to helllllllllllo, you get my point. And then walk out.

If 1 person did this they'd say if was 'a strange incident today'. If 2 people,,,imagine if 2 people did this. Maybe standing together at the Cashiers desk w/Manager present,,,both fellows saying in 'loud enough to upset the bankers' voices that Dennys prices are too high dollar,,,,well, imagine what might happen.
If this happened all at once, in 2 Dennys across America, then 10 Dennys, then 115 Dennys. In 230 part harmony...Imagine. And then at 13:10 pm on THAT day, we decided to break out in 1,000 chorus's of 'Alices Restaurant'. Obama might even be proud. Arlo, for sure would be proud. And ya never know, America, if you do this then maybe we can get better prices.

Denny's is over priced in my opinion. also, the couple that I have stopped at don't have peanut butter, I have been told it a corporate thing. Probably because some snot nose peanut allergy infected kid went there, saw peanut butter and a parent pitched a fit!

    My reason?

I am not bored of Dennys. Sure it was cute the first 10 times, but their menu has like 2 good items, and neither are that great. Now I am bored of their food. They need better food choices. Hell the flying j changed their menu regularly, and had several good things and the buffet.

Way, way over-priced and the portions are childs plate sized. I refuse to eat in a Dennys. If I see that I am going to be stopping at a J, I plan on eating in my truck that evening, or will get a Subway and throw it in the fridge to eat that night. No Dennys Ever for me.

Years ago, Denny's was not bad. But the typical price-gouging approach of the Denny's inside the FJs is too much for me.

Just remember....there is a formula to this. If you're not running off a certain percentage of potential customers, you're underpriced (think about that...it's accurate and true in just about any business). After all, if no one is complaining, you're probably too low.

As long they feel they're not running off a larger-than-acceptable percentage of people, the prices will stay as they are.

A grand slam is only about $5, which includes 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon AND 2 pancakes.
