schneider is the worst.

Life is about choices. If you stay out longer you make more money and see your family less often. If you stay out less you have more quality time at home with your family.

 

You make a good point. It depends on the loads you get (out of your control). You get a lot of live loads or short loads or bad routes, you are going to use up your time. I don't get upset about bad loads, as long as things even out in the end. If I get several bad loads in a row, then my DBL will get a call. But I think the Trip Planner takes this into account, because more often than not, it seems they make a conscious effort not to screw you over. Could be different in your case since not all Boards are the same.

 

Was on an account once where I got home every weekend...it was a living hell. Takes me 1 day to unwind when I get home, and another to prepare to go back out, so it felt like I had no time off at all.

 

Speaking of accidents and Schneider, I drive for them,and a month or so ago I got a message on my qual com about a driver hitting a bridge, I was in Spokane at the time, then my navagator steered me toward every low bridge in that city, and that particular load had numerous wrong addresses to choose from,which is unusual, but they all jived with those low bridges, yea they will set you up no doubt, I did stop before i did hit a bridge,so, be careful, they do play the game well

i drove a pumpkin for 9 months, made 16,800 dollars...thats right, i grossed less than 17 grand...sure i was home every weekend for the first 6 months, then it was every two weeks. (you know where this is going) then it was whenever they felt like letting me go home. Anyway, after nine months i gave em a two weeks. I worked for another 11 days, had the truck cleaned inside and out(which i paid for) and turned the truck into the terminal. 3 weeks later, Schneider sent me a bill for 109 bucks. they said it was for a cash advance from 2 months prior....wtf!!

i ran what was suppose to be the southeast regional, but i guess southern MA and southern WI is considered part of that. i made alot more money the first year i drove as a rookie at .28cpm then what SNI paid me at .37cpm. I was suppose to be out for one week, then off, AT HOME for 34 to 48 hours. It was usually closer to the 34 than the 48. I guess you would call it 5/2, i never heard of the 6/3 and I wasnt interested in being a slip seat driver on their "homerun" program (14/7)

 

I was in Spokane a few months ago and missed a turn to get back on the freeway in the downtown area. #### "Jill" lead me to a low bridge too. I never put all my trust in "Jill", she's only a tool. If I were to hit a low bridge, I doubt Schneider would accept "Jill told me to do it" as an excuse lol
