I have phoned Salt Lake City, and was told to be expecting a call, I assume, from their safety department.
The initial communication was made via e-mail as it was necessary to attach documentation they needed to have. I called after sending three e-mails and I did make an appearance at the Conley terminal.
If this drags on much longer, I'll have no choice but to move on.

That bites Wedge with everything you have vested into Central but you have more than met them half way with what you have done.
Keeping my best thoughts for you, as always.Wedge Thanks this. -
I'll call them again tomorrow and see where I stand. -
Wedge Thanks this.

You know, it's possible that they're the ones who are deaf, not you. They may be just ignoring you. It could be that they don't have the guts to tell you to your face that they're out of money, or things aren't working out for one reason or the other (maybe your mumbling trainer trashed you too badly). That's a really tasteless and cowardly way to treat someone, but I've seen this kind of thing happen before.
I know you want to give this a little more time, and I respect you for wanting to do the right thing. If I were you, though, I'd be putting the time at home to good use and researching the next company. Then, if I did make the decision to move on, I'd know exactly who to apply to.Wedge Thanks this. -
I'm going to shake the cage today and see what happens. -
Your points are valid and I agree. Only so much time should be allowed to pass before moving on. I was researching a new company to sign on with, but the situation has moved in a positive direction after a couple of phone calls to Salt Lake City, and a trip to the terminal. I'll post an update on my status shortly.
Thanks for your input, vmwelker. I appreciate your comments and recommendations. -
Hope they get you on the road soon Wedge. I'd hate to get out there before you do. lmao
Wedge Thanks this. -
Congrats to you Wedge! I am a wanna be driver and have been following this thread (although it has been a while since it was posted). You had me biting the nails just to see who you wanted to drive for. I have been doing lots of research on those companies that will accept new drivers. There are always pros and cons it is just a matter (like you said) of what is important to you. Swift is on the short list for me as well. I won't be able to start school until May 1 but have been and will continue to read all the excellent advice that has been posted.
I am retired Air Force and look forward to starting a second career, I just wanna do it right the first time. I hope all has been going well for you and should I end up with Swift maybe we will run into each other somewhere OTR...LoL.Wedge Thanks this. -
If you're not starting school until May, you'll have plenty of time to do your research. There are plenty of folks on here that can offer up advice, so don't be afraid to ask.
Let us know how you're doing in school.
Best of luck!
