BTW Kevin. At Aviation Fuels we ate pills and ran 3 days straight with 20 min-2hr cat naps. With no A/C in the Florida heat.

We all got out of it when one of us ran through the median on I-4 going East in the West bound side. They told us run that way or leave. All 4 of us did and left them high and dry.

DickJones' whole purpose on these forums was to tweak noses and pull chains. I was happy to assist with the fabrication of "Capt." Kirk. He still reads the forum and comments to me how well he was able to get everybody, including you, worked into a frenzy. And laughs his butt off at everyone who bought into the BS. Mentors are not allowed to have dogs. Yet, his little Jack Russell girl never left the truck.

If a L/O sat for three days, he has only himself to blame. I tell everybody, company, lease or owner, if you want to prosper, be the squeaky wheel. A L/O or O/O can deadhead or bobtail anywhere he or she wants to. There is no anchor on the back of that tractor. "They" didn't "all" go home. There is always someone around, even if you have to call Phoenix.

And it sounds like you had just another putz mentor who wants Swift to run his business for him. Or is company and doesn't understand how the lease works....and you're buying his opinion and making it your own rather than conduct your own research.

Most of the L/Os who fail are ill prepared to run a lemonade stand, much less a trucking business. They waste their money, fail to put away for hard times, fail to pay their taxes, want to be home every other weekend, refuse loads without good reason and then complain they are broke...trying to blame it on Swift. You don't see successful L/Os in the terminals because they are out running.

You have one year in this. This is a far cry from local work. And about the only information you are capturing is from those terminal-turds who want to collect a check without doing the work. I have been sitting back watching you make an arse out of yourself long enough with your negativity, condescension and arrogance. It even shows in your comment about meeting up with me. As if it's some great honor to have coffee with the Eminent Rug_Trucker. Quite honestly, I could take it or leave it and not care less either way.

No, I'm not all that experienced. But there's a big difference between you and me. You listen to losers who can do nothing but b**** about how they're getting sc***ed by Swift. I surround myself with people who are, and have been, successful...paid off their leases and have their names on the titles...some even have more than one truck. I get my information from company drivers and O/Os alike, inside and outside Swift.

You have nothing to offer me with the exception of the opportunity to correct misinformation and pop a "thank you" on you when you occasionally get it right. Maybe it's time you pull your head out of the clouds and climb down off your high-horse. Until you do, you will merely stagnate where you are....because you already know it all.

    Ciao.

For the record, I did not encourage Scottie to jump into a lease. I said he should go back company for a while longer.

I did say he didn't need his mentor to sign a lease. Now that he, as a grown man, has apparently made his decision, I will assist him in any way I can to be successful at it.

It's called being helpful rather than negative and saying things like "You'll never make it because the deck is stacked against you." Maybe so, but perhaps I and others can help him count the cards a bit and gain a slight advantage. Tell me, sir, what is wrong with that?

I do not blow sunshine up anyone's arse. Neither do I poop on anyone's parade.

Go back to local. Pop your pills and run your insane hours. I'll be making roughly the same money and not working as hard...and be much healthier for it when it's my turn to enjoy my retirement.

there, fixed it for ya........................................... ^ nuff said.

again with the "i'm better than you" stories. Who cares? No matter how hard you try to impress anybody, the plain and simple fact is......nobody cares. NOBODY. This sounds alot like that story parents would tell their kids about having to drudge thru knee deep snow up hill, both ways to school.

tell me, how did you feel after running 3 days, and only getting a handfull of hours sleep? i know you were wore the F out. So you got a TON of money sitting in the bank, for what? you're not spending it....cause you're too busy sleeping. Sure hope you weren't in a relationship at the time, cause i know the atmosphere around ya couldn't have been all that nice.

but here is an idea for you to consider. What makes you happy, makes you happy. What makes others happy, makes them happy. Whos business is it of yours to tell others what they're doing wrong, or that they'll fail?? I dont like wine. So is it my right to tell someone how bitter tasting it is, and that it is totally unenjoyable?

Injun never said I was going to pop pills and run insane hours again. That was then. Before drug testing. Hell we never ran log books! We should have!

Glad to got you work up all the way from Wisconsin.

And as for Dick Unser having a dog in his truck? Same guy that rats people out for silly things that are none of his biz?

I am sorry that I have incensed you to waste your off time taking things out of text and twisting them to some really insane conclusions.

Me? I am waiting at a shipper. Appointment time was 10. Got the PP at 9:37. Had to disconnect from the empty that Menasha assigned to me. Why? Some DM in Edwardsville wants it to stay hooked to his driver's truck. That truck probably won't get out of the shop until tomorrow according to the mechanic.

They sent me 50 miles to get an empty. Then i arrive at the shipper and find out I NEVER HAD AN APPOINTMENT! To quote the shipper "Swift thinks they don't need a dock appointment.

You think I would lease a truck from a bunch like that?

    That crack don't smoke itself!

Take a valium and a smoke with Dick Unser.

One thing we don't need to do is resort to name calling here. And if you want to quote me? Make sure you don't twist things around to your conclusions.

If I need advise I come here, ask my mentor, or ask a friend who is an O/O and worked with me back in 1980. He continued rolling the big rigs. I have even got some great info from you.

And for the record? I don't listen to the sad sack L/O's in the terminals. That is their own thing. I pretty much keep to myself or talk about anything other than trucks with the terminal people.

I am here to help if I can and shut up when I can't. (notice my sig line?) Something I learned coming out of school.

If you see me? I'll be wearing my custom made Rug Trucker hat from Iowa 80 truck stop.

Apparently I have a fan club up there. :biggrin_25523:

I have better things to do than "reee-idiate" the same old stuff. I am not here to piss you off. I did that to Dick and got slapped. I knew better.

Stop being personal Injun. I haven't done that to you and you don't need to do that to me. I have never once attacked you, or belittled you.

    Be nice.

I am being nice. I smacked Dick a lot harder than this. Nice to see you step down a rung.

My point about his dog, which you seem to have missed: Dick never had anyone on his truck. He never even took the Mentor class. It's not a rule violation to have a dog on a lease truck unless you have a student and he never broke any rule. He was not, isnot and will not be a mentor. It was all a big story to get everyone all worked up. I knew about it and played along only to add legitimacy to his story. Had a lot of fun with it, too. He's actually a decent guy who just likes to stir the pot. And he's pretty good at it. Even managed to tweak my nose some.

If you are constantly getting that kind of runaround, I would suggest getting a new DM. If this is ongoing, yours is obviously dropping the ball. Because that has not been my experience. Only on occasion and I am able to sort it out in fairly short order...with the help of my excellent DM.

And I am not here to be anyone's hero. I'm just me.

I was fully aware of Injun's backing of Dick Jone's story about the mentoring. She told me. I didn't say anything because I like Injun. As for Dick Jones......I don't like him. Tried to like him when he first joined the forum...but I had to block him due to him bugging me in pm and his constant desire to harm others through their jobs at Swift.

I like Rug trucker as well. I personally think this should be dropped. Really. Just walk away from the conversation like the intelligent people y'all are.
