McElroy in Alabama. About 20 of us to start with and I heard "biggest class we've ever had" more than a dozen times.

Like I said I hated asking that question....there are so many guys that come on here and wonder why and they have felonies and stuff like that against them.

I really can't understand why these guys did that to you...but maybe look at it as a sign that they would have been a bad company to work for and move on.......Best of luck to you driver

I'm already working with another co. It's gonna take more than 1 strike to keep me out of the game.

CT Transport out of Savannah. Not there yet, but they've hired out of my school before and it's looking good so far. Only a three day orientation, McElroy's was two weeks.

  11. Hey 65 studebaker
As soon as I read your first post I just knew it had to be McElroy. They did the same to me in NC. I was 54 and pulled to the side on Wed on the second week and told how this was a young mans job and I should consider dropping out. Class work was great did have a few problems with shifting. Learned on a Volvo they had a Mack and the first time with a loaded trailer. I did all the trapping and folding as good as the rest. Would be interesting how many over 50 make it with them. Hang in there because I would not have the great job I have now if not for their BS.
