Just a few questions from a wannabe...
1. I've noticed a lot of you either drive out of the Conover terminal or some of the terminals in the Pacific Northwest. Is WS hiring out of the Phoenix terminal at all?
2. If the answer to the above is "yes" which schools in Arizona does WS accept students out of?
Thanks in advance for any help...I have been perusing these forums for about 2 months now, just haven't said muchWS is at the top of my list, in large part because of their pet policy. Although if that is what the decision in the end comes down to, my yellow lab may have to stay home! Watkins seems like a great place though and i'd jump there in a heartbeat, we'll just see if they'll have me

Any questions from prospects or lookers from real Watkins and Shepard drivers?

I like the Volvo with the Cummins for the power, I can outpull most trucks up a hill with comparable weight...

Most of the trucks will have a cheapo CB in it, if not ask the shop for one if you dont have your own. Same goes for your CD player if you have a cheapo one ask for a better one. All trucks have chains and you are Exspected to use them when needed.

Also, it seems like you can ask for a good number of things when you get a truck. Do they really mind if you do that? I don't want to seem like I'm picky or something. Frankly, I'd take whatever they handed me and have a great time driving it.
-
Well you dont get a choice as to what kind of truck you want, you get what you get, but they will provide a CB and a decent CD (i availible). They will also install what ever you want, like a VueCube or a power inverter. And no they dont mind.
The only way you can "pick" your truck is if your on the East coast you have the Option of a White or Brown "Penski" truck which is east coast only truck (east of the Mississippi). or a Red Watkins Shepard Truck (all 48 + Canada.

You mentioned they will install a power inverter for you. Does that mean they supply them, or they will install one that you supply?
-
they will install the one You bring them lol, They dont have any size limitations, both of the trucks i've had have add all the wireing in them from the last driver so it just simply needed to be hooked up to the new truck. They're not that exspensive I just got a cheap PowerDrive 2000 watt from Loves because it was on sale lol, works great powers my fridge/freezer microwave.
American Trucker -
I think I'd much rather have a red W&S truck than a brown Penske but hey, that's just me.

2. Recruiting would be the ones to ask.Philnation Thanks this.
