I'm getting ready to go back over the road after being on medical leave of absense and would like some recommendations on the best GPS system and bluetooth headset. Thanks for all opinions.![]()

How long does you blue parrot really last until you have to charge? I tried a couple of diferent ones--and keep going back to my old nokia with a wired headset--I0because I don't need something else in here I have to charge--but mostly because the couple I tried claimed very lonf battery life and that really wasn't the case/ Thanx in advance for you input!

I like my Plantronics blue tooth. I had a guy ask if I was standing next to a clock the other day. He could hear my turn signals, not the truck!
I was going to get the Blue Parrot. I wear a large boonie hat on sunny days and I didn't want an over the head set up.
GPS? I have a Cobra 7700. Can't say it is the best. I had some experience with the Garmin.

Depends how much you're using it. I have it sometimes I forget to turn it off. I usually average 1.5 to 2 days driving on one charge. You can also plug it into the car charger and use at the same time while it's charging, just like the others I suppose.'olhand Thanks this.

I like the Blue Parrot, everyone says they can't hear any background noise, as far as the charge goes, I can go a week without charging it but I only us it a few times a day. (it is on the whole time)
GPS, really haven't found one, I just us the map and the QC -
Not sure on the GPS, I always knew where I was going. I'm old school like that...
As far as Blue Tooth, hands down the best is the Bose. They make only one. It lasts all day on a single charge. It has the best sounds quality. Everyone says it sounds like I am right next to them, even while going down the road in the truck. $149.00 at Best Buy.'olhand Thanks this. -
I have been using the Motorola H700 headset.
I use in my pickup, and even on fire truck, and works well.
Can be found for $10 to $30 online.
Charges in less than an hour.
Lasts up to 4 hours steady talking.'olhand Thanks this. -
Agree on both. Have had my Blue Parrot for over a year. They can't tell I'm driving a noisy truck. Can get 2 different styles on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&ke...=aps&hvadid=3069831719&ref=pd_sl_61ia0s7itb_bLast edited: Mar 13, 2011

To those who don't know this already do the world a favor and leave your blue tooth headset in your truck with the half finger gloves.
We all know you drive a truck and we are not impressed !!
