    To Admin:

    I just tried the Thanks button out again after writing the last two responses and it worked just fine when I thanked BigD. I took a couple minutes trying to figure out how to tell you it was working and then thanked you and it was back to the Bulletin message. Maybe it is just my computer. I can live with it.

    OK. I now know the address to this forum. Thank you. I had just happened upon in once when I was searching for something and saved the page to my desktop so I could find it again.

    I really don't mean to take up your time, but since you are being so helpful could you tell me then what is the URL that Admin was asking for?

    Hey UTurn, I wish I could take credit for your currently working thanks button, but the only thing I did with your settings was check to make sure they were normal.

    a URL is a web page address. For instance, if you look up at your internet browsers address bar right now, it'll show the URL as http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...rmation-center/94466-the-thanks-button-7.html
    So, I was asking you to go to the thread where you were experiencing problems with the Thanks button, copy the address, and then post it here. But it doesn't sound like your issue was related to a specific thread, so don't worry about it.

    My official diagnosis of your issue is computer gremlins, so I'm afraid I don't have additional solutions for you at this point. :biggrin_25525:

    He was meaning the web address to the thread you were posting in and getting the vBulletin error message. However, since it was happening all the time and not just in one particular topic, it's a moot point now. :yes2557:

    The message you PM'd me about was nothing you did. Sometimes I get the same message. What happens with that is the forum's spam filter doesn't like a word or phrase and kicks it out to a moderator for approval. I wish I could tell you what you typed specifically, but I don't think it matters much at all. One could type out "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" and get the same message. It's a small price to pay to keep spammers off this fantastic site.

    Scarecrow and I must have submitted posts around the same time, but I think his answers were more clear.

    Scarecrow also gave a good explanation of the spam filter, and I will add to it by saying that links in a post will often cause it to be held briefly for moderation. Please don't let that dissuade you from using links, they're much more convenient for everyone than common alternatives like, "Google the word _____ and click on the 3rd result."
