Many companies will hire the driver. He will just have to check them out, and put that information to the recruiter first to prevent wasting time.

Additionally, there are as many companies that will not hire him. Sad, but true.

A close friend lost ALL his trucks (5) in a non-preventable. He was forced to sell them, to pay legal cost. A drunk driver crossed over the median, killing 6 of 7 in the car, the car hit his driver head on. The survivors family sued.

He won the case after 2 years in court. But, at what cost?

He should go sue them back for losing his Biz. Let them be on the other end of the suit.

If a good lawyer see's what happened he/she would be willing to start the paperwork. I feel for the family that lost loved ones, but he was drunk and took 5 trucks from a driver defending his case. If people can retire because they was stupid enough to spill hot coffee on themselves from Mickey D's then this driver has a chance. He proved he was innocent. Why not go get back what he lost?

It may be possible to find that lawyer, but it would probably be better to just start over. What happens if the guy that sued him is penniless? Where is his money going to come from? The situation is a horrible one, and there is no easy answer. We need to find some protection for small business owners. Insurance to cover the high cost of being sued, that is actually affordable.:biggrin_2558:
