    Good day everyone.

Well, I recently moved from Saskatchewan, out to British Columbia in the lower mainland here. I was born and raised in SK.

I am looking for a driving job within the lower mainland if anyone knows of any opportunities. I am a very professional driver, taught by my father, a professional driver and owner operator of 30 years experience. I am fussy with equipment and treat each truck and trailer like they are my own. Before I moved to B.C I owned my own truck, a 2004 KW W900L, with a step deck/heavy haul outfit out of Saskatoon, SK called Q-Line Trucking. Before that I worked for Kindersley Transport out of Saskatoon, SK for 6 years. I did every job with them, city driver, highway driver, yard driver, dock worker, forklift operator, you name it, I did it.

I am a clean, well groomed, strong young man in my mid 20's. I am old school professionally taught truck driver, not to blow my own horn, but from what I have seen, I am a very rare breed. While I believe I would be lucky to work for a good company, I also believe a good company would be lucky to have me work for them.

I have experience with dry van's, reefer's, diesel heated trailers, propane heated trailers, double pup combinations, step decks, and flatbeds.

Before I sold my truck and moved to B.C, I was hauling John Deere combines out of the U.S, back into Canada. I have a good amount of experience with oversize freight, as this is what I did with my last company. I only quit and sold my truck to move here to be with my girlfriend, seeing each other once every 3 months was not cutting it for our relationship, and when you find a good woman, you don't let them go!

    You don't like BC?

I miss SK I won't lie, and we talk about moving back there, well, me moving back, dragging her along. Here however, in the summer, it is beautiful, god's country.

LTK - What kind of driving is he looking for in Dawson Creek?

The terminal is quite far from where I live, over an hour's commute one way, and my daily driver is a silverado with a 5.3! 60% of the money I make would go to gas, oil changes and wear and tear, so what's the point? I am more in the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows area of the lower mainland.

So where are you living now canuck in da truck? You didn't by chance happen to drive for Creekbank did you? Looks like one of there black Freightshaker classics in your avatar photo.

I lived in the lower mainland for over 10 years and never had a problem finding work. Just pick up the Province and look at the adds. Also look at the the job bank for work.
