Well... if ya can have an inverter - a microwave, crockpot and electric skillet has you about set.

Doing brats n' cabbage in the crock pot tonight.

How big of an inverter do you need to run these items, and a refridgerator? I was looking at a 1000 watt one. Would that be big enough?

The fridge hardly pulls anything - the microwave is the big power hog. I have a 700W microwave.

The inverter is a 1350W unit, and I have to be careful what I have plugged in. 1500W would be better.

I am having a venison burger and mixed veggies tonight..

The venison burger has bacon ground into it and is seasoned with Dizzy Pig's Red Eye Express

Anybody wanting to know more about Dizzy Pig spice rubs PM me and I'll be happy to share

I haven't read the entire thread but, here is what I did. I had a 12V lunch box cooker, I butane stove and a few pans. Use the butane stove on the catwalk or at a rest stop. Butane is legal in a truck, propane isn't. Buy supplies at walmart every few days and keep them in a 12V cooler. I used to put marks in my pocket truck stop guide about where grocery stores are walking distance from truck stops.

Remember: Walmart needs trucks so trucks can get into walmarts.

Those Coleman propane bottles are legal in the truck... considered a tool of the trade. Not a good idea to fire-up stove inside the truck though...
