Thank you Dieselbear... I called them, they were busy, gave me phone number of another scale house to call. Didn't get much help there. Officer told me a little chip (one quarter of an inch) is a damage to windshield even on the passenger side. And it's up to the officer who gave me the inspection to determine whether or not that was a violation.... Heck, according to the FMCSA regulations, anything can be a violation, even the way you look... This is becoming ridiculous, and very damaging to us, drivers. And we have no defense, no judge, we are helpless and at the FMCSA mercy....

Officer told me at TN they go by federal law. So, where did you find that "subchapter" about the location of the damages? Is that in the FMCSA regulations book? Thank you.

    dieselbear Thanks this.

    http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rules-regulations/administration/fmcsr/fmcsrruletext.aspx?reg=393.60

www.fmcsa.dot.gov is all the regulations. 393.60 deals with windows. Also look at the interpratations. To see them look to the right side of the web page and click. Interpretations give numerous questions that have been answered or give examples. Every situation is different and no one interpretation can answer each question that one might have, but it can give guidance.

Yes. You go in for a basic physical and a pee test. They send the urine test off to the lab but they test half of it with an instant test. You pass that, and they write you your card. It takes about an hour if there isn't a line and there's places everywhere to get it done. Should cost around $35.

not necvessary, if your still working for the same company, then u would be subject to the random requirements, just get u a physical and keep trucking

if your a new hire then yes, they both get done at the same time. A company must receive the drug test back b4 dispatching you. After that then its just the random

I've never gotten a medical card without the drug test, renewal or new hire. One place rolled out a cart with a bunch of needles and hoses on it like they intended to drain me dry. I drew the line there.

The only time you would do a drug test at the same time of your physical would be a pre-hire. The pee that they test when you do your physical is testing your sugar level for signs of diabetes.

    No see above.

I do get a copy of the test paperwork every time and I can read and understand it. It might not be a written rule, but that's the standard at any place I've ever been.
