You also get paid for sitting if you are ready for dispatch, but they have nothing for a full 48 hours, then you get paid for 24 hours, which is $75.00... I have always been dispatched to a load before the 48 hours is up. Never had to push the issue when I did not have an empty... I do a yard check, and find out what is loaded and ready to go, and then I call dispatch, and start complaining about sitting, when there are all these loads ready to go, and the other drivers are not here... works every time.
#### gremlins got me again... was empty at 2300 last night, and sent in my empty call... return to the truckstop, 1 block away, waiting to be dispatched. Nothing, so I take a shower, and go to bed... Get up at 6am, send in my daily check call, and the QC says 2 messages waiting to send... A few minutes later, I am dispatched, onto a frozen load, that picked up in Cincinatti, 290 miles south at noon... I was late by 36 minutes... My empty call did not send until I sent in my check call...
So now I can not make the 0300 appt friday in Fort Worth... Just can not fit the miles into the legal hours... So I hope to get repowered somewhere along i40 or i30 thursday...will see. -
Got a preplan for my next load. Drop this trailer at the receiver tomorrow am, then pickup an MT at the Utility dealer in SLC and head to Ontario OR to pick up a load and drag to Atlanta.
Hoping I can sneak a 34 in there first.
Hopefully I can even sneak a quick stop to see my wife in Boise. Got her on a new medication and she remembers me three days in a row! Wonder if she'll recognize me too.
So we'll just keep on rolling.
Stay out of the snow, boys. -
Well I am still in Calli but not stuck! Had to bobtail 125 miles down to the rail yard in Fresno to pick up another trailer. Then got a double pick up north of LA to take back to Dallas. I dont care where I go at this point as long as it doesn't take me back to Donner!! 1 more week and then its time to head home for some well deserved RR!!! Miss my wife big time!

I do like hearing from the other drivers, and where they are at, and any problems... helps when one can not get any response from dallas... Last weekend, busy busy with caly and donner..
I am at a Truckstop on i30, x63 in Arkansas, one I have drove by many times, but never stopped... this is where my repower is setup for... now let me say the food is good, and the price, less than $10 for dinner.... and good hospitality...
So i get a load the delivers tommorrow in Memphis TN. Drove through there a lot, have never delivered in Memphis. -
Ran out of hours on my way to Ontario today...son of a gun....in Boise.
Hoodafigured!
Pick up tomorrow afternoon. Trying to convince them to let me pick up sat morning so I can get a 34 in.
As it is, I have just enough hours to go pick up and get back to Boise. Only getting 3/4 hour back at midnight tonight, so I hope they go for the 34.
Otherwise, will not be able to make it to Atlanta. -
Sitting in Kansas City tonight at the Fly J, hoping for a repower. to much time on this load and I need miles
-
Might want to throw a wall around your hood while you're waiting that place is a hood disposal center

.
Now sitting in Pecos, TX resting up for the final leg to laredo. Still 48hours ahead of the drop. DM is already working on something for home that I can drop this and roll straight out with.
Yall be safe out there.
