OTR flat deck or van avg 40k to 65k OTR super b tankers 65k to 110k. Owner operators b train tankers usually includes fuel subsidy 300k to 500k year. Owner operators van flat deck no subsidy 150k to 250k. Avg 250000km same as tankers. Most precision driving is with a 63500kg super b full of dangerous goods liquid h2s s02. Mountain roads or flat highways snow or rain day or night and chemical pipes all around. A professional driver on a gravel road drives 60km avg speed. A dumbstruck drives 80kms on blind corners usually gravel haulers, loggers bed truck operators winch tractors and picker trucks. That picker operator prairie doh boy with over rates is driving one of 4 red and white pickers oit of leduc. I doubt he has the skills or knowledge to drive the yellow stirling pickers usually ex army or those with an iq above 80 operate those ones.

Yeah your contribution was telling a possible immigrant not to immigrate . What the hell does that have to do with his job search. So turn your head to the right tilt your jaw down wrap your lips around that gear shift and pretend you know what your doing.

I agree. However, the point I'm trying to make is that OTR drivers are UNDERPAID for what they do.

Why is it that carriers always have the money for increase in costs to buy, truck, trailers, fuel, maintenance, tires, insurance, Workers Comp, Insurance, EVERYTHING tyhat is required to run a company has price increases on a yearly bais, EXCEPT DRIVER WAGES. If they do go up, they don't go up enough to meet the cost of living increases.

Yes I specialized and I'll post a pic of the truck and trailer and a time sheet and copy of cheque.

as for Johnnygunn, have you ever wondered why logging companies don't own trucks ??? It's because owner ops cost them less than a company truck and driver would.
