Here is my question, if the planner set the run up so that you can not deliver it on time, and you tell the DM that, do you still get the bonus?

Also, what if your a team and you are given a solo load. Do you still get the ontime bonus?

Sorry to tell you this Chrome, but most of the people that least at Central are too naive to do the math... (if there are lease drivers read this, sorry, don't take it too personal. I don't mean it that way) but the numbers Central gives don't add up to begain with.
No-one seems to take into concideration the overall cost of doing business, taxes and a lots of other costs.

You would (my thinking) really have to trust your DM to keep you moving with very little if any home time in order to make any real money. I don't think I would trust any of the DM's that much.

I looked at the sheet they gave me. The one that compares the company driver to lease diver.
I don't have the numbers right here is front of me but the lease driver showed to make somewhere around $200 per week more.
First off, that is only gross. there is all your width holdings that come out of that.
2nd. by the time you take into concideration the with holdings, and the employer's part of the SS (another 7.75%), Federal self employment tax (3%) and the added cost of preperation and filing your the state and federal quarterlies, of that $200 you might see somewhere around, maybe $100 of it.

Then I am not even going to get into the entire "Red Tag" crap that I have seen Central pull at CRSWVC on lease trucks...

speakin of trainers gettin bonuses i just got off my trainers truck 2day!! would have done it monday mornin but central wouldnt sent anyone to pick me up from the flyin j where i was at. this trainer doesnt deserve the pay he gets let alone any bonus!! just started my OTR road trainin thurs and was ready 2 walk sunday nite. i dont know how this piece of crap slipped through the cracks but he is a real SCUZBAG!! anyone that is considering centrals salt lake city school beware of a OTR trainer named STEVE MAYS. the school is great but he is a SLEAZE.. he is still stuck in 1975 Although its 2011. first off his truck on the inside looks n smells like a back alley dumpster. he didnt wash for 3 days. wakes up puts his boots on and is ready 2 start drivin. he smokes like 3 packs a day wont roll truck windows down and combine that with the spoiled smell of his truck. YUMMY LOL!! he started our joyous trip off the first day by drivin on my 14 hr clock. the first DOT violation of the trip among many in those 4 days. he broke a couple laws by drivin the tractor trailer on the wrong side of a 2 lane each way road that was divided by a concrete island into oncomming traffic to get to a pilot weigh scale while drivin on my 14hr clock again. ( he wouldnt tell me he was on my time till we were already rollin ) and steve has been here 15 yrs goin back to the Dick Simon days. we had a supersingle blow-out in new mexico and while i was steerin the truck 2 the breakdown lane he freaks out n tries 2 grab n steer the steering wheel while i was driving ( he was in the passenger seat tryin 2 take control ) i had 2 literally pull the steerin wheel back from his attempt 2 oversteer the truck from his seat. what the school taught us on how to handle a rear blow out worked 100% and we were at 79,000+ pounds. could have jack-knifed truck n killed us both along with a bad freeway pile up!! he almost caused me 2 hit a concrete gate post-another tractor trailer-and a car on the freeway by his bad and ill advised teaching. i can go on and on but i think u can get the message from this much:biggrin_25524: i hope central fires his dumb#!* . central has a great program n people like him can ruin it. all the crap he talked about central had me really questioning if i had made a mistake by going here. meanwhile me friends were callin me tellin me what a good time they were havin and how good their trainers are. talked with dm this morning and decided 2 stay. i got 2 much invested now 2 not finish!! hopefully things go much better with this new trainer cause the couldnt get no worse than that S#%*BAG i had the first time.. wish me luck!!:biggrin_25523:

I do not think he UPGRADED after starting on Thursday and bailing out of the truck on Tuesday.

More like SURVIVING from what he posted.

Central has a ton of BAD trainers, but you cant tell anyone, because of the good ole boy system for alot.

I think they're trying to crack down on trainers a bit. The new pay package beginning apr. 1st said something about trainers losing $0.01 per mile, but they now get a $0.01/mile bonus if they're the upgrading (final) trainer. So basically if your student switches to a different trainer, the trainer loses $0.01/mile.

They do have some bad trainers. Mine was good for the first 2 almost 3 weeks then he turned into a jerk. I decided to just tough it out since I didn't have much time left to go with him.

I today however have realized I probably shouldn't stay at the truck stop I'm at. I have been hounded at least 3 times today for money from people knocking on my door. The first guy I gave him money just to go away. The second guy wanted to polish the wheels on my truck for money. I didn't have much but I gave him 4 and some food just so he didn't feel so bad. And last but not least a woman came told me she got the crap beat out of her and they want money. I offered to call the police and she said no she just needed money to pay them and she would pay me back. (How that would have worked I have no clue) I didn't give her anything. I offered her food but she refused and just walked away. I cant give everyone money I dont make that much lol I'm a Central Driver.
