So....I stumbled into what could be an opportunity by being in the right place at the right time I guess. Have to chance to run short haul into Canada, home 1 night a week and on weekends. It'd be pulling doubles (have the endorsement and a passport), and still with W/S. Sounds like I could still have the same money potential as OTR from border crossing, ferry, drop pay, etc. I'd see mini-me a LOT more (that's a good thing) but would also have to deal with her mother more (not so good, we live together in a roommate type of arrangement). On the other hand for the most part I like being out on the road!
Thoughts...advice....need to let them know by tomorrow (Sunday), Monday at the latest.

Seems like a good deal if you can take the crossing delays and assorted bs that goes with it. If being home is more of a hassle, then I don't know what I would do. I relish my hometime but I also have the best wife around sooo.... I can be out on the road for two weeks, come home visit for a while, jump on my bike (alone) and go clear my head with the boys on a 200 mile ride soooo...
I guess if the money is the same then I would take the shot. Can you switch back if you give it a fair trial and decide it's not for you??? That might sway me one way or the other if I could!
I doubt that all this helped much but at least it's something!! Good luck in whatever you decide, having read alot of you posts and experiences I have no doubt you will make a wise decision!!! -
When opportunity knocks, answer it!!!!!!...If it fits your needs...

I agree ^^^^^^^^ if it fits, go for it, if not then don't, I would surely check to see if you can switch back. I think that would be my deciding factor.

thats what i say. i still wonder if should have tried the canada thing...i kind of #####ed out on it.

Thanks for the input guys! I can switch back but personally feel I'd have to give it at least 2-3 months to get a honest feel for it. It's all furniture so need to consider the physical aspect of it as well, don't mind the occasional furniture loads but to do nothing but furniture! They also said it might be more of an "as needed" deal and running OTR unless needed for Canada. I need to talk to the kiddo and see what she thinks.
