That is the just the quality of some of the drivers that Central is getting.
Me, I would report him to HR for public obscenities

need some over all advice. I split my head open thursday, got 16 staples, im fine to drive, no pain pills, no pain.

Fast forward, I need to remove these staples in 10 days, I spent $1300 at the ER, can I stop at any ER and have them pulled? I have the tool, but its in an odd spot on my head. Im not worried about the pain, ive watched tons of videos, looks easy to remove. I would like to just get them done myself, but I dont know alot of people on the road :(

Called Central the other day and talked to them about leasing on, Well i found out that they dont take o/o's, they just do the company and flease purchase program. When the guy told me what they paid per mile i liked to sh## my pants, I cant see how anybody there can make any money, So the fella asked me if i was interested and i politly told him that in my opinion a lease purchase is for a guy who's willing to work for almost nothing in high hopes to maybe get it paid for. Good luck fella's

I love when people say you can't make money with Central as a L/O, especially as a solo. I had a National Carriers driver tell me today I can't make money with Central...I don't know about everyone else but I make good money. I just got a new Pete 386, I've got 1700 on it and I've averaged 6.8mpg since I got it...last fill up was 7.1mpg. I run 3000 miles average per week and I have no problem making payments on the truck and walk away with $1000+ a week. Yeah, you can probably make just as much as a company driver, but I like to have the truck I want and all the extras that come with it. Don't get me wrong, you can probably go to another company and make more money. Look at it this way, if you can make money with Central's lease...and do it consistently...imagine how good you will be when you strike out on your own with a "better" company. I have my issues, with the O/O department in particular, but nothing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth and that can't be overcome by a few conversations to voice my opinions/concerns. All in all, I am personally happy with Central, although eventually I will want to further my career and enter into areas of trucking that Central doesn't support, that's when I will move on.

On another note...the new qualcomms are pretty cool. Everybody says they suck because Central knows everything that's going on. Trust me, they already know everything that is going on, they just get more detail out of the new ones. If you aren't driving like a total idiot you will be just fine...and if you are, I hope you get taken off the road because I don't want you driving around my family when you end up wrecking that shiny (or not-so) truck of yours. Remember folks, this is not a game. Nobody is shooting for a high score, we are all out here to make a living, we all have to support ourselves and possibly others. I saw 4 or 5 rollovers along US-54 in Kansas this morning, I'm always nervous that I could someday be in that situation. I, for one, would rather go home a few dollars poorer and a few miles short than without a job or possibly my life. I hope you all feel the same.

I know I sound like a Central Recruiter and/or Safety guy, but I am a Professional Driver and I honestly believe we would all be better off if we acted like it when it really counts.

Sorry to hear that Mike, let me know what happened. As of Friday the 22nd I will no longer be with Werner doing Walmart Dedicated, going back over the road with a small company (60 trucks) no qualcomms, and the trucks aren't governed (WHEEEE!!!!) company runs everything West of Ohio, they don't go east, so maybe I'll run into some of you Central suckers, I mean drivers, just stay in that right lane and don't get in the way or I'll have to run ya all over, just kidding, maybe just push ya out of the way a little, ha ha.
