apparently you havent looked at the dataQ form. When I was telling the safety director that I needed the company's dot imfo that was when I was told he had to do it.Its another bull crap government regulation that keeps the drivers from doing what they was told was simple to do.

I filed a Challenge via that DataQ in the FMCSA website and my company did the same. We are challenging data in my Vehicle Inspection Report.
Anyone can do it. First, you gotta register on the FMCSA website. You will need your company DOT number besides other info.
You can upload pictures, pdf, doc, and many kinds of format files with your challenge. Then, you will have a Challenge ID # you can use everytime you want to check the status of your challenge or add something else, etc.
I also called DOT. They are aware of my challenge and will review it.
Stay on top of it. Take control. It's your CDL.
You should know your company's DOT number. If not, I know there's a website where you can find DOT numbers of companies.... can't remember the name now but someone here may.... Good luck.rookietrucker Thanks this. -
So you have to have the DOT number of your current company, which may or may not have one, or the company you worked for when the incident happened?
-
I think you do have to have the DOT number. A company without a DOT number???

Hard to miss it if it is on your door!THBatMan8 Thanks this. -

I WON MY CHALLENGE!!!
Well, it was a pretty silly thing but had I not done any thing, would have gained 3 pts on my CSA card. I challenged the data on my Vehicle Inspection Report. Officer had given me violation for 2 little chips on windshield...
A couple days prior to that I had asked company to fix those and was told they were not violations cause were not on my line of sight...
Well, I took pics of those chips, with tape, ruler, every possible angle and sent to FMCSA with my challenge after I got the violation. Actually, the chips were smaller than what the law permits and that was my argument.
My company also filed a challenge but theirs was closed and no action was taken. While mine was closed and DOT fixed their mistake.
I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE THAT BELIEVES THEY WERE ERRONEOUSLY CHARGED WITH A VIOLATION THEY DON'T DESERVE TO CHALLENGE FMCSA. ALSO CALL DOT, BE PERSISTENT, MAKE YOUR CASE, DON'T LET IT GO UNCHALLENGED.rookietrucker, BigJohn54, CCCowgirl and 1 other person Thank this.
