Have it your way. There is no need for making new laws.
Enforcing existing ones already on the books is all this outlaw company needs.

In the past you have prided yourself on operating 100% legal.
That doesn't fit with giving this company a pass, not that I can see.

They are clearly a public health danger.

    Drivers running 20 hrs a day isn't a danger??????????????????????
    Unlicensed drivers?????
Most likely a company running this far outside the law is uninsured (public health menace) probably has unsafe equipment in a big way (public health menace) and is often not even running up todate registration.

But hey, at this point if you don't understand the danger.... I'm done with trying to explain it.

I can see your point about revenge, but then your 2nd point is more important to the case in hand.
Like I said..... the person they kill could be ones own family member or friend, and then one will have a life time of regret for not doing the right thing.

True....But no one seems to be interested in doing that. These people are not unknown to law enforcement, I'll guarantee it. Lots of local "under the radar" companies like that seem to get "ignored" by the cops in their area even though the cops are well aware of their shady practices.

I do run legal but that hasn't always been the case...I used to run as many hours as I could hide and you know what?
I still never had an accident or even a near miss or killed anyone or got a bunch'a tickets.

To be completely honest...If the situation was different than it is today with the ridiculous overenforcement of a lot of petty rules that have very little to do with safety and a lot to do with control and revenue, I'd run just like I used to when it was prudent.

Was I a "Public Health Hazard"? NO....I was a guy getting the job done how ever it needed to get done. There are plenty of trucks out here that are running 100% legal that are operated by poorly trained, Unqualified morons that have no business even standing near a truck...Are they "Public Health Menaces"?

    YES?

    WHY?

    They're running legal aren't they?

I have run 20 hours in a day in the past....I have also run for 3 hours and parked it because I knew I was too tired to run or just didn't feel like driving.

Unlicensed drivers? Not a good thing, Although I've seen plenty of licensed drivers that needed to be parked as well.
You're assuming that because they are running on the shady side that they are uninsured? That's more than a little bit of a reach..I know of companies that run pretty far outside the rules that are very fussy about keeping their trucks in perfect condition so there again you are assuming a lot.

Not running up to date registration? It's gonna get them a ticket at some point but it hardly constitutes a "Public Health Menace".

    I understand the danger....but I don't exaggerate it!

But how do we know the equipment was unsafe? Everyone has different opinions of what safe & unsafe are...... Just because the owner has older equipment doesn't justify it as unsafe, but I've seen people on this forum call people & companies out as unsafe because they operate 97 freightliners instead of 07 freightliners.....

As for the driver running without a CDL, is there proof? Or is it just hearsay? Did he actually look at his lisence to verify it wasn't commercial?

I'm just amazed that this thread is still going.... Just forget about it & move one!

I'm thinking I would have blown the whistle while there. You didn't do that while there, so you're just as guilty. If everyone had multiple log books than their log pages on file will be within legal limits I'd assume. Overweight and missing scales? Documentation of all that?
Obviously he's a bad actor and hell yes, he should be reported.
