my back (after having surgery 10 years ago) seems to do better in the truck than at home.
I think the firmness works better for me. IMO

Best mattress I've ever slept on was in my Ultra sleeper. Was a custom mattress due to the size of the bed, but don't remember who made it. Never had to flip it in the three years I had it due to the sides breaking down from sitting on it like others do. It was firmer then any mattress in my other Petes.
I'm getting another Ultra next week with a new mattress. Should be able to get the manufacturer's name then

I had these guys make me a custom pillowtop back some years ago. Picked it up at their place in J'Ville, IN. Thinking about calling them up again.

I went with the 4 inch memory foam, extra dense.
It is made by Serta and has a nice cotton cover that zips over it.
Found it online for 80 some bucks.HUGE improvement.

I would love to have a custom pillow top but sleep good on the setup i have now.

I bought a " Sleep Number " mattress in a Twin xl size
for a Pete 387.... fit pretty good..
Cost about $550.00, but slept like a rock from then on, no more sore back, constant waking up. I felt it was well worth
    the price....

I had a custom mattress for my RV made by a company called "Bed in a box" it is so comfortable I keep buying them, all of my EX'es have one now. They are memory foam like the tempur-pedic at 1/4 the cost.

I spent about $450 for the custom one, WORTH EVERY PENNY! Like sleeping on a rainbow stuffed with baby chicks and bunny rabbits.
