I've been driving for 2.5+ years, and this is my third company. Compared to the first two, these guys are very decent. The dispatchers don't bug me (NO qualcomm annoyances, and NO cellphone calls asking me dumb questions), and they are actually friendly "people-persons". The safety guy is very knowledgeable (and has a sense of humor at times). The shop has been very helpful and are always available. Everyone here seems to have everything together. I think that most of the office staff have some sort of trucking experience, but don't quote me on that.

I am very pleased to be a part of this company.

The BIGGEST thing that actually shocked me at this company: The dispatchers and the mechanics keep constant communication with each other!

"Hey Mr. "Jim", I just got off of the phone with "so-and-so" over in Missoula (one of the dispatchers), and the trailer that you will need for your next load is right over there."

    :biggrin_25514:

I seriously just about had a heart attack when I was sitting in the lounge and heard that information coming from one of the mechanics!

Professional folks here indeed, and I've never been happier! :biggrin_25520:

Uhh... nope, sure don't remember the number. It's one of those old Herendon (or however it's spelled) and I think it's the only one on the lot. It's sitting near the curb around the terminal next to a few red trucks.

How close are you to Atlanta? They changed their requirements you just have to live near a major city.

I think they're gonna put me on a run tomorrow. I feel like they're kinda pushing me through orientation faster since I'm the only guy left.

Judging from my experience with W/S and observation of my fellow classmates who just graduated from CDL school I'd say it's up to you. W/S moves quickly, maybe two weeks, as do the other companies. What holds up the process is missing documents or withheld information. If you have all your ducks in a row you will only have to submit paperwork one time, but if you don't you could be chasing documents for weeks.
    Hope this helps.
