Beginning the Long Awaited CDL Process

Glad I can still tickle the funny bone.

This is the week. I'm going back to Central with the new instruments and putting the ball in their court. If they don't want me, I'm heading to a new carrier.

 

I get to exercise everyone's patience when it comes to my hearing. They've worn out all the deaf guy jokes. They don't have much to complain about lately. These babies have WARP drive or something.

My son gets home this weekend. We are very excited and anxious to see him. It's been well over a year and he has yet to see the new house here in GA.

 

It was a close call for sure but we're OK. We were called by our neighbors, alerting us to a possible tornado in Sunnyside (1 mile west). I don't have a basement in this new house so we hunkered down in an interior section to ride it out.

The tornado touched down just before Tara Blvd and headed directly east (toward us!!! ). We heard what was left of it pass us by. I thought we were going to get hit for sure. And I thought hurricanes were loud.

Two people were killed when the twister hit. I drove through Sunnyside yesterday in my travels. It looked like a war zone. A Shell gas station was totally destroyed and a Forklift dealer's building was heavily damaged. Cars and trailers flipped over. The tornado had continued east and hit the residential area of Sunnyside. That entire area was closed off. Definitely a bad scene.

My prayers go out to the families of the victims.
