[IMG]Think this will be my next radio to play with. Been lookng into them for awhile now. They will be here soon from what I am seeing.

I can't post the pictures for some reason. I will keep working on it

It looks like the galaxy 88 and voyage 9000 but better.

They are available now, very few in the States. The ones here carry the Magnum name. It's OK, there are better radios available.

I stuck my foot in my mouth, they do not carry the Magnum name. The ones here are called the Alpha 10 Max AM-1000.There may be a few others as well but most that was imported into the States are the AM-1000.

YES 99.999% of ham radios use computers to program the frequencies offsets tones bands ECT that YOU want in that radio.
This radio uses that programming system too a nice was to set things up.
The down side is you may be limited as to what you can program in to it ... The UP side is it might keep some off the 10 meter band too .....

I think he just means it can be programmed so it doesn't cover the whole band.

I've got to say, this is the first new radio I've wanted to try in a long, long time. The automatic squelch thing is something that should've been in CBs a long time ago.

Some of the Uniden CB radios have a "dynamic squelch control" on them that keeps out all but the heavy stuff. Is this any different/better than the DSC?
