Needing a prescription, and being able to buy it the same as alcohol, are 2 completely different things.

More states than just California have legalized medicinal marijuana. In the northeast, Rhode Island and Maine are medicinal states.

The National Institute for Health (NIH) is very reputable. Where did you find your info on that site?

NIH is made up of 27 Institutes and Centers, each with a specific research agenda, often focusing on particular diseases or body systems. And one of the 27 Institutes is NIDA, the National Institute on Drug Addiction. They also have an Institute doing research on alcohol and alcoholism.

I did a search on the word marijuana on the NIH website, to find the info I posted.

It is an easy way to find out the latest research on a variety of medical issues.

    What diseases can marijuana help?

The latest research available from NIH, shows:

Is Marijuana Sometimes Used as a Medicine?

There has been much talk about the possible medical use of marijuana. Under U.S. law since 1970, marijuana has been a Schedule I controlled substance. This means that the drug, at least in its smoked form, has no commonly accepted medical use.
THC, the active chemical in marijuana, is manufactured into a pill available by prescription that can be used to treat the nausea and vomiting that occur with certain cancer treatments and to help AIDS patients eat more to keep up their weight. According to scientists, more research needs to be done on THC's side effects and other potential medical uses.

So, the active chemical in marijuana is available to anyone that needs it, with a doctor's prescription...just like any narcotic medication.

I've read that study too. It goes on to state that the pill form is much more expensive than smoking the plant. Leave it to big pharma to try and make billions more, off of a naturally growing plant. hehe

Also, since this "drug" cant technically kill you, even if it does impair memory in some people, its no where near as bad as tobacco, alcohol or the prescriptions we get.i find the scheduling system quit hilarious, schedule 1 means it has no medical value, why the hell is methamphetamine schedule 2?used for adhd?but cbd and thc doesnt have its uses in cancer, and aids patients?wtf?

i really would rather be able to put anything in my body, that i want, without big brother looking over my shoulder, and people say this country is "free"

These are your rights. If you want to do anything you please, you are not living in the right country...you need to move to Amsterdam...they speak Dutch there....good luck and have a safe trip.
