    I'm back!
Had some good home time. Made some Italian food, groomed the dogs, drank some adult beverages and fixed a few things around the home. Even saw a movie. First movie in almost two years.
oh yea...got to spend time with my wife.
But I'm off and running again.
Picked up some frozen onions at Americold in Nampa and headed to Hannibal, MO.
Heavy load. Scaled out at 79,800 with 3/8ths tank of fuel.
So it's the 50 gallon shuffle again...
    Stay safe everyone.

Finally got the truck fixed last week.Peterbilt is so in to checking for things wrong on the computer system, they overlook obvious things that you are telling them is wrong.leave the Pete dealership last tuesday after 5 days down, before I even leave I tell them they havent fixed what was wrong in the first place, and Im gonna be pissed if I leave and have to call a wrecker. He says, didnt it happen after you hooked to the trailer.I say yes because the truck shook.I tell him there is nothing that the trailer could do to totally shut all electrical to the truck.I leave, get to the Petro in Atlanta, loses all power at the fuel pump, get it started, pull out to park, dies in the middle of the lot,get it to start again, park it,call breakdown for a wrecker next morning, and back to Pete. They can see Im not a happy camper, should have seen them scramble to get two guys on that truck. They listen to me this time, had told them it was a connection problem somewhere in the firewall to begin with, deetadee, guess what he says, its a connection problem in your firewheel. No #### I say.Took him fifteen minutes to fix.down five days for a fifteen minute problem.WTF.Man ive never seen a load appear so fast on my computer,as that day,it wasnt 2 minutes after I called my manager, that a load appears, picking up a half a mile from the Pete dealership, running to HEB in San Antonio.Barely beat all the storms in the southeast.Ran parallel down the face of them before they hit.Got down to 10,and shagged, now sitting at home, chillaxin, and cleaning my pool.what a week,LMAO,GOTTA LOVE OUR JOB.Everybody be safe.

I have had that very same load...
arrived at Hannibal a full day and 1/2 early, parked at the dead end street, and at 6pm, a full day early was unloaded... the guy running the fork lift was very happy, as the next day was friday, and I would have been the last truck he unloaded for the week... so now he could get off work a little early on friday..

Sitting here at the pilot in Ft worth, deliver down the highway to target at 11 pm tonight..

On the yard after spending the night at target. Seems fresh express sent them a bunch of short dated product. Safety and mother were both gentle. Workshop and I am clear, now it is getting some act right for the truck. .

Got the act right for the truck, new egr valve (warrenty), and a new DPF filter... went up to talk to ed about the cost, only $180 for the DPF filter... Also had a free oil change certificate I had not used, so used that, and got 1 new shock for free, as it was frozen... 2 at partial cost, and full price of $49.00 on the forth one. Always a good idea to go over the costs either with Jim or ED before your work order is final..

Have had 3 hours sleep since arriving at the yard, so I won't be leaving until the morning.. Also gets me a 34hr reset that way...
And may be helping out with a load running late... will see.

    Greetings from the Punic Wars!
It's 0040 and I'm just about to start my final leg of this repower I picked up in Nebraska yesterday. Deliver to Kraft in Ontario CA at 0900.
Sitting in Cedar City Utah now.
Been keeping me running. Always a worry when coming off hometime.
Traded my Hannibal load for this one. Turns out the other driver may be sitting a few days. The road coming into Hannibal (MO St Rt 34) is under water in a couple places.
He shouldn't have complained about going to Cali!
For those of you having to cross the ol' Miss...keep your water wings nearby!
    C ya

Truck is running smooth and sweet today.. left the yard early, to head to the TA on Terrell to do a repower... dragged a plainfield walmart load with me to give to the guy who did not send in a running late message, until it was too late to make the appointment. CSR gets the receiver to give me a window of 0800 to 1030. No way will I be in Lubbock TX at 1030, but having a 66 mph truck, and only 20,000 in the box helped... As I am pulling into Lubbock, my phone rings, it is the CSR, asking how far away am I? about 4 miles, she says she will call them again...
Arrive at 11:15. One guy tells me they are going to lunch, and I am late, so I won't be unloaded today... Then his boss walks around the corner, "you the wriggly load?" Yes sir. As soon as that truck pulls out, back in, but it is my guys lunch time. No problem, thanks for unloading me today.. One guy works through his lunch to unloaded me, then his buddy comes back, he goes to lunch, and his buddy finishes... then I pulled out into the dirt, to await my paperwork... The knock came at 1400... everythings is good, here is your book...

I sure am relieved they unloaded me today, as they do not work the weekend.
Now I have a load going form Amarillo to the Jetros on the west coast...DLD is sunday morning, sure hope it is ready saturday when I get there...

Had a good shower, and dinner here at the Rip Griffens.

I always liked going to lubbock, hate the rip griffens though I can't think of the name of the place but there's a truckstop there that had a nice drivers lounge with them big leather chairs and good food
