Hope it doesn't come down to that, but if you have to,,,,,,

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to except as a last resort.:biggrin_25525:

well I know my truck is sound. worse case scenario I'd have to put two windshields in and mabey find two used tires. I'm trying to hold off on buying a whole set of drives untill I can get the schneider discount on them. I could come up with that much but it would hurt. I can't believe the difference in my cash flow from last year to these last four months. Of course it doesn't help I had to put about $3000 into my reefer in january and about $1200 into my truck. ate up all of my maintenance cash in the first month of the year. been playing catchup ever since. And unfortunatly I just got done paying off a brand spanking new $1850 base plate for this year that i'm not going to be able to take with me so I'm going to have to buy another one from schneider. that'll leave a mark

Its Resurrection Sunday... sitting at the petro in Sparks Nv. waiting to deliver on Monday and then a load to So. Cal. The weekly miles are picking up but have not yet reached the average goal that was set between myself and my DBL, this truck has to go (to many break downs) and as soon as they can get me in a newer truck I have their promise of doing just that.:)

Preacher...i had my driveline drop on me the first week I had my truck just a few miles from Hilton head SC...

Currently a company driver...drove O/O last year with USX and made 118,000 in 11 months (only took home 21,000-due to lease fees/road taxes etc) I did learn quickly about the fuel managment which is vital Rule #1 to success as an O/O...but some companies like USX do not pass on the fuel surcharge as 100% advertised toi the driver.

My financial situation at home has changed so I am once again looking to do the O/O thing but this time have to wait 3 months per company requirments and unfortuantley due to fireclosure I am not able to get my own truck outside company lease purchase options. However 3 things are my requirments before i head into my 2nd venture as an O/O

    1. the truck is to be inspected by an outside source other than the company shop (all seals/gaskets have to be inspected/replaced if worn)

    2. I have to be able to get a warrenty outside of the lease ie 750,000 to 1 million mile to cover major engine/drive train/transmission 100%

    3. I have to be able to get on the percentage or choice program...its my truck...my business therefore it should be my decision on the miles/loads to run

I feel if these three standards are met i should have a better than average chance of being even MORE productive than I was last year when the trips/miles were determined for me.
