I'll be coming up on my 1st year solo in a few months so I guess it's time to start turning over stones. I'm curious if Swift has a "comfort zone", as they used to call them, in the Northeast. Anyone have any good info?
Swift Northeast Regional? Is there such a thing?

Oh, yeah, they got one all right. I've been asked several times if I wanted to run it. It runs from Richmond north, I think Ohio is as far west not sure on that one. Home weekly for a 34. 2 cents higher pay. I usually run it unofficially around the new year since that's where the freight is.
If you ever get through Jonestown, go in and ask about it. Syracuse probably runs it, too, but I don't know for sure. You may have to change terminals, but that's no big deal.JustSonny Thanks this. -
Why would a Memphis boy wanna do that? Are you a "half back" like me?

NE Regional dispatches out of Jonestown. Although people
I have talked to about say you don't get a lot of miles. Don't
Know if it's true or not. I think there are spots open on some
Dedicated routes so ask around if you go there. One of the bennies
Is you get to go to Avenel regularly. Oh joy.JustSonny Thanks this. -
I get messages regularly looking for NE based drivers who want to drive Costco dedicated. Call Syracuse and talk to Connie. Beyond that, there are Sears, Kmart, Target and a Walmart account or two that will keep you up there and fairly busy. I like them all but prefer them in small doses . . to each his own.
Are you really from Friendship? I'm from Portland and have friends in Bremen. I caught a ride with a guy from Rumford who drives a regular Sears route that gets him home every weekend plus one additional night per week.JustSonny Thanks this. -
Come to Nashville! Great town! BB King has a club on the river.

I am on the 910. TX to Eastern CO to the Canadian border. East to PA and the bottom 2/3rds of NJ. Down to Key West. I turned down a load a couple of weeks ago to CT. Comfort zone was my reason. No questions asked.
Never heard anyone out of Memphis tell me there isn't any comfort zones. People out of Denver tell me that all the time.
If I go on Sears dedicated it is basically the 910. Probably not TX. But home once a week!
