Got an conditional job offer from Schneider but am not sure if I will take it.The dilemma is, I was quoted after orientation and a 2 week otr with a t/e, solo would start at 23 cpm on a dedicated route.wtf...23cpm???
Hell, even Swift which I also have a pre-hire with offers 26cpm solo after
otr training.
Any advice out there?Maybe there are better companies I don't know about out there?
Any Advice is Appreciated

Do you already have your CDL?
-
Yes, I have my CDL but want to make good money quickly with a company.Starting at 23 cpm doesn't seem like a good option, it's more like taking advantage to me.
-
Welcome - do some searches on here and also, more people will be on later, the ones with LOTS of advise and information - the "old" timers - good luck!
-
How much expierience and what State are you in? -
USA Truck starts at .28 CPM if you don't mind tarping loads flatbedders make above .30 CPM to start usually
-
Just out of trucking school and live in So. Cal.Need minimum 26 cpm but with all the negative about Swift want to look further. -
check watkins shepherd they pay .30 cpm but you will unload the trailer all of the time they only have a 10 day training though but you need to make money so check them out.

I'm gonna get raked over the coals for this one...but here goes.
I would recommend Swift or JB.
This is based purely on your location...no other reason.
S. Cal, I don't know how far south you are...has a tremendous amount of freight that goes east. Many of the Swift and JB drivers from that area, simply relay freight to AZ, then return to their home terminal.
If OTR is what you are looking for, then I recommend taking a look elsewhere. Search the board, and check into some of the better discussed ones and go from there.
Good Luck -
See, I told you they'd come out eventually!
