Seeing the situation that has played out with your unsuccessful time at your last training school, you kinda remind me of the guy below:

The list in it's entirety can be found here: http://www.disabled-world.com/artman/publish/article_2086.shtml

You're probably wondering why I decided to post random information about the guys listed above, huh? Well, they all have something in common that you have: aspergers syndrome. These men have had a hard time adapting to their environment for whatever reason, but in the end with hard work and determination they became known as what they were.

You seem to have a great desire in becoming a long-haul truck driver. Just as you've experienced recently and in the past, the path to being a truck driver is not an easy one. We all had to start off somewhere from the bottom. Taking orders from those above us that seem to not make any sense at all. Not getting help when needed. Getting yelled at for making stupid mistakes that could have been avoided. Dealing with an angry dispatcher, division manager, and customer service rep when you're late on a critical load. Being shorted out of pay, or not being compensated for completing certain tasks due to an error. Operating a truck 100 miles out of route because you decided to ignore the company's listed fuel routing. Being out of route on an undesignated truck route! (Why is that truck in the WOODS? FIRED!!!!) The list goes on, and for most newbies these things can happen within the first week of obtaining a truck! :yes2557:

You will need someone to show you how to stay calm and disciplined during many stressful tasks while operating a CMV (commercial motor vehicle). As some have noted, you will probably excel and "blossom" when you're under the wing of an experienced driver that will properly show you the ropes that you may not gain in a company's classroom environment. With today's economy the way it is, and the way many o/o's are trying to survive out here with the over-abundance of cheap freight and trying to either break even or make a decent profit, it will be tough to find a driver that is willing, has the time, and is financially stable to train someone that is as motivated as yourself.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't, or that you will never be, or that you are not fit for driving a truck. Sure, you made a mistake that has many worried about the state of your well being, and cost you your seat at the training academy. Some may even go as far as to say: "Why did that guy throw away his chance at that one company training academy?" --- OR --- "This guy sure is taking a long time getting his career in order! What is taking him so long?" --- OR --- "Maybe this guy just isn't cut out for driving a truck after all." You have to get aggressive, stomp your foot down on the ground as hard as you can, take a really deep breath and scream out: "I CAN AND I ABSOLUTELY WILL BECOME A TRUCK DRIVER! I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN MYSELF AND IT WILL HAPPEN!"

Do you think some of the world's greatest and successful people with some sort of disability had a supportive network of friends that believed that they were going to be successful as they were up-and-coming in their younger years? HELL NO!

But in closing, I WILL say this though: Try not to get TOO disappointed when the words of some have come off as harsh. Tough love can be a mother ###### at times, but I believe that some of those that have replied earlier were trying to be helpful....even if the message was perceived as "harsh". But, when it does get to you then remember to stomp of foot down and yell out that you can make it.

So, let's just forget about the past events that have transpired at the academy, and let's just forget about the things that were said here. In essence, I'm going to be the first one to depress the reset button.

Please understand that it's not going to be an easy path though, KH. Try harder. If your head is not hurting by sundown everyday, then you're not trying hard enough. Do you think that you have time to get disappointed when you're facing rejection? WRONG! Then you have time to KEEP TRYING! I'll help out as much as I can, and good luck!

    Guys,

If I were gay, I would marry this guy. As for what happened, it is over and I made my choices for my own reasons. If I lost friends as a result; then I'll accept it. I never asked to be treated differently though Swift did and Swift denies this. I posted only positive stuff on here as thats what Tom S. and Scott M asked of me you know. As for different careers: no way.

I thought of going back to my old job as an f/a but US has f/a's on furlough and I would be required to commute to Phoenix for my airline on stand-by. did that for a month and nearly missed work though it was fun riding the jump seat. Will say thanks to my friends at US for helping me with my ticket on the way home. Had a guy give me an employee discount though he should not have too.

My message to Swift: Thank you very much for inspiring me on wanting to train new drivers once I get the experience in order to do so. Milington made me realize that I could do the backing and teach myself how to back in the process. I wish those at Swift the best of luck including those that go through their schooling. It is tough like military boot camp.

    God Bless,
    KH

KH: Friends are allowed to disagree with each other and even be irritated with certain things. That does not automatically end a friendship. Think whatever you like. I will support you and encourage you....to succeed in life. My own personal advice: work on that short fuse of yours. Nobody is going to help you once you're on your own in a truck. You can't expect them to. If you react to hard situations where someone is going out of their way to be difficult with you in a similar way to your reaction earlier in the week....that you yourself told me about....someone is likely to get hurt. This business takes a cool head and lots of control over emotions. Please help yourself by working on this stuff. You know of my own disabilities. I had to go through the same journey you are now on. And I still have a difficult time with my temper.

Hate me if you want to. That's your choice. But you know that what I say is true.
