Hey all drivers. I have been following your post and have learned a great deal about the type of company Maverick is. I have applied and have been approved to attend orientation, just waiting until after Memorial Day Weekend. Question I have is the rider policy. I know that it is a strict immediate family members only but how long do you have to be driving with Maverick before your spouse or child is allowed to take a trip with you? I think I have pretty much have had all my other questions answered just by following Jimthehut and Notarps. Thanks for all the great info guys.

I am trying to remember. I am not sure, but I don't recall a time limit as long as your a solo driver and have the paperwork. You might want to ask one of the current drivers to be sure.

I don't remember either....I have taken both my wife and my son with me for 4 weeks each (not both at the same time, LOL)...but that was back before I left and came back.
A word of caution...taking wives with you on the road can get expensive, mine was pregnant when she got back home(you know what they say...all work and no play
)
Jokes aside...we were trying for a baby, that was most of the reason she went in the first place...that was back when I was doing the heavy haul, I only got home every 4-8 weeks...kinda difficult to "make the connection" that way. -
I already have four kids at home and have fixed that problem. No more for me. But I see how that could happen even if ine was not trying.

as soon as your solo, with the rider paperwork filled out, your good to go.
the lady and I can't have kids either, but it sure is fun trying... lol! -
Well guys, kind of a sad day here. I turned in my truck this morning in NLR and hopped a plane home. Gonna miss the ole girl (27201..sold). I start my new gig at Superior Carriers next Monday.
If it doesn't work out, I am eligible for rehire..ya never know! Keep up the good work out there. -

It would be nice if Maverick would have passed some of the older maroon trucks on down to my division, especially the ones with manual transmissions. I'm not sure how the automatics would hold up under the conditions we often run in. There have been some rumors about possibly getting something like some off road Macks for what we call "shuttling" (running between the staging and well pads and blowing off).
