Delivered a load from Farmland in SLC to WallyWorld just S. of Albuquerque. Actually, quite nice folks down here. Thanks WM for getting me out in a reasonable time. Only 6800 lbs. in the box from Utah to here. Seems the driver before me got the bulk of the order. Works for me! Didn't have to downshift on any hills the whole way! Hangin' out at the Hard Rock just up from my drop last night. Nice place except for losing at the crap table :biggrin_25510:... Heading out tonight to PHX to pick up a load to DEN and then hometime. Later all.

    DocRox Thanks this.

Those sunflower loads are a p.I.t.a. they will only give just enough time to make it...it will be an over night run so be well rested when you pick it up....where in denver?....some of the store are a pain to get into....I have been to all of them

Received a call from my trainer. Due to heavy traffic and lots of road construction, he isn't going to make it into Greeley till early Saturday so I'm going to catch up with him then. :) No complaint here as it gives me another night in my own bed. Should find out today where our first run will be to.

Ya Fox, this is my 2nd Sunny load. You have to run as far as you can that night. Hopefully the load is ready when you get there. Going to the same place on S. Colorado Blvd. Nice back getting into that friggin' hole huh!?!? Getting back out isn't much better when the cars show up. No doubt they will add another stop to it. Went to Boulder last time. That was hard to figure out WHERE there dock was. Best just to pull over and call on that one. Thanks for the offer of help.

My trainer will be arriving in Greeley mid day today. He had a little trouble getting a load that will bring him out this way. He was finally given a load that delivers in Denver on Monday. That downtime sucks but I think I will go ahead and meet up with him today and treat him to a hotel room tonight as a thank you for training me and to give us a chance to relax and get to know one another. I'm sure he will appreciate getting off the truck into a more comfortable bed for the night. Maybe they will let him out from under that load and we can get a different one and hit the road before Monday. Not likely but worth a try.

OK My F'in Head hurts I see all these new guys no time with JBS at all and less than 2 years OTR getting New KW's I thought the Seniority folks like Foxfire and such would get them first, not that I want one or anything like that.. Love my Pete ..
Thanks for the Heads up KBfan, went to Helldorado 6 hours sitting in the dock thanks to some regional moron who took off with the empty I was told to grab and head to De Queen.. That was a pretty cool place there good food in the cafeteria the night I was there Pork Roast and to think after sitting in HElldorado I wanted Chicken ( SARCASM from hell)

Then Off to the Alamo to HEB another pain, then Now you will all Laugh. DM talks to Load Planner He says send Mark to Eldron TX, (down near Harlingen TX) All is good catch a 10 hr then roll down, I make it to Falfurrias TX get the phone call, Hey Head to Laredo. OK While on the phone I make the turn to head west, get to HWY 359 THE ENTIRE 54 miles of it is closed to LAREDO due to 2 big trucks in head on accident.. So up the road to FREER to catch 59 south to Laredo.. Drop and hook and end up sitting in the crappy J in Laredo for 10 hours.. Now I am in El Pisso petro head north in the morning to Salem Oregon.. DM Sends me a Msg "Mark I need to know the names of the towns you had to go through to get to Laredo" Now I am scratching my head what is the point of the QC lol... And I of course send the info and find out I ended up DH 379 miles total, I won't complain about the trip miles 2161 to Oregon and by Monday I will have 4200 miles since I came out last monday... Grt Miles just wish the LD Planners would make up their minds ahead of schedule not after the fact..

DocRox and Panhandle flash Thank this.
