Jumpin Jesus on a hockey stick! What a mistake leasing w England turned out to be!! Orientation in Burns Harbor IN was hell. Musical roach motels, froze my ever-loving butt OFF. Orientation unpaid. Then, due to gaps in my employment, the 10 days with a "mentor" (pfffft, tore the door off the truck using MY logtime while I slept) turned into 14 due to his Cascadia breaking down near SLC. Lived on sardines and Ramon noodles.. then when I finally DID get my rig, a 2010 century they managed to lay me over in Jersey and no way to turn my bills in... BUT you better believe truck payments and insurance and fuel and the mystery .14 a mile "variable" charge were siezed. They started me out in the hole and even though I was giving them 3000 mile plus weeks, stayed in the whole. I gave it 90 days, thinking maybe I wasn't holding my mouth right, but nooooo......negative balance settlements the WHOLE 9 weeks! I even let them starve me into being a driver trainer.. what a friggin JOKE! It looks like thier lease contract is pretty legal and they got you 7 ways to October so my advice is STAY AWAY FROM THIS OUTFIT! Unless you LIKE being out a month at time and being broke! After 9 weeks of not taking a dime home the ######## sent me a bill for $5K....mind you I am OCD about a clean truck and you could eat off my floors and despite being a smoker, the rig smelled better a preacher's office.. This company is something else. I hope they enjoy all the money they made off me........at least somebody will. Screw you C R England, who reads this forum. May the fleas of 1000 dogs infest your all your greedy, shamming, scamming butts!!PS: lets not forget that 1 out of 15 of us who orientated to lease with them stayed passed 90 days

I failed to mention that the impact of my effort to "start my own buisiness" with CRE caused the near financial ruin of my family.. between Nov 15, 2011 and Feb 12th I brought, actually brought HOME $776.00! I don't have my final settlement but it was to the tune of $14K give or take a few hundred. I have a wife and 5 kids, which prompted this effort for success. In the median time I missed: My wife's birthday, my daughter's 3yo birthday, Christmass, Thanksgiving, my son's 13th birthday and was unable to attend the funeral of my cousin, who committed suicide. Tnks you egg sucking mangy dogs who run CRE, ever so much.. my employment there SO enhanced my life... pfffft

Gawd, makes me nervous. I'm attending Burns Harbor Orientation on 05/31. I used to work for Stevens, and due to a health issue I was canned. Now that being resolved the only carrier to touch me was CRE because I only had 2 months out with a trainer and 0 solo time. Atleast going into it I know I'll be broke and have no money. I am thinking about the lease or flease, whatever you call it. I'm single, no kids, no rent, not nothing but myself. Maybe I can make it work. Guess only time will tell.

Dont give up on driving altogether. There are better companies out there that can and do treat their drivers better. I strongly advise anyone against any kind of lease purchase due to the inherent risks asssociated with running a business especially as a new driver. You yourself have seen the pitfalls and clearly have your eyes wide open now.
For flyingswine; Look for a company that wil hire you on as a driver. Not a lease operator. They are out there you just have to make a lot of inquiries even as a newer driver with 2 months experience.ronin and scottied67 Thank this. -
90% of every trucking company out there is 100% debt free. They make their cookie and vacation money from rookies, by promising them big bucks and big dreams. Like the Government that oversee's "US", not them, they are simply organised crime syndicates.
leasing a truck is a guaranteed win for the truck company and a guaranteed loser for the driver. It's all legal. Not morall. But legall.
Thats the U.S.A. A huge crime syndicate. Sold off peice by peice to the highest bidder.seal3k, scottied67, adamup1983 and 1 other person Thank this. -
You will lose. Then the debt owed will go on your credit report. next time you apply for a trucking job, your doomed.fancypants, ronin and scottied67 Thank this.

How about hearing from someone who actually succedes at CRE's wonderful lease purchase? I'm sure someone can step up and tell all of us the positive things about this bottom of the barrel homeless shelter on wheels company.
scottied67 Thanks this. -
Bullcr*p...Id like to see you post a link with some evidence of that!!
Even the trucking company he refers to in HIS post has debt(alot of it)
Just remember debt is not all bad, assets and liabilities just have to balance, but debt free?...
"90%of trucking carriers being debt free"..HAHA...No.scottied67 and Corporal_Clegg Thank this. -
Sorry to hear about your troubles in your attempts to be a o/o..
Hope you/family can recover from it.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Debt free isn't an issue, and no, most companies aren't debt free - CRE is a whole different animal, though - while I feel the pain, I have to say I told you so - there's about 100 topics on CRE here, and NONE of them are positive - I've probably posted 500 posts on the subject myself, having been dumb enough to jump into that mess.
