So who on the board has experience with DEF? Anything that you might be able to share would be helpful. Getting into a new Cascadia tomorrow so it looks like I will be a part of the DEF family![]()

I was wondering the same thing.I'm heading to layton to pick up a new pete I was talking to another driver he said that for about every 4 tanks a of fuel is how long your def will last.also he said everytime you head thru a terminal to fuel up on you're def even of you don't have a fuel stop n you have to keep a weekly log and send it in once a week
-
I caught a guy here in brooks and had him go over it with me. Weekly log of when you fueled your def - gallons, mileage & trip number. Even if you fueled your def at a truck stop. Always fuel at a terminal whenever you are through.
I'll keep a record on here if things change.Karen_A_Smith Thanks this. -

From Urban Dictionary

But in all seriousness...
DEF stands for "Diesel Exhaust Fluid"

Welcome to the DEF family brother!

Not much to add, all the information you should need will be supplied by office staff, be sure to get info packet.
As well, keep a detailed spreadsheet of all fuel transaction with or with out adding DEF. Be sure to follow up with Analisha weekly so she can do her entry work. If by chance you do have to purchase def on the road the limit for def is 3 2.5 gallon jugs.
What is your unit number brother? I'm rolling 2807 -
Yea I'm finally in the def family pete tho
-
Info packet eh? I should probably get one of those...
Rolling in #2844. -
That is whats up Joker.
Pete, KW, Freightliner, ETC. Who cares right? Like I say at least 30 times a week in a email when asked "Trucker Steve, what is your favorite truck?"
I respond with "the one that makes the most money" (for the company and myself) Trucks are tools that are utilized to haul cargo. I will always pick the right TOOL to complete the job, While remaining cost effective!.
midnight_trucker_1971 Thanks this.
