Back at the Petro in Hammonds, La. Nice little
658 mile run up from Laredo. I have done it twice now both times with a light load and rolled in with 15 minutes left on the
clock. Don't think Id try it heavy. The only two light loads I've had.

Well we delivered this morning at a UPS in New Stanton, PA. Picking up in Lewisberry, PA this afternoon. That load goes to a chicago suburb (another D/h at a UPS) then from there we pick up a load in IN headed to Calexico for Friday.

We just switched out though and it's my turn to sleep, I'm exhausted!

Hanging out at a T/S in Grand Rapids, MI. Waiting for a load. Got to spend the night at home last night. The load I picked up in Mississauga yesterday delivered today here in G.R. Couldn't deliver it early on a national holiday. What a shame!!!:biggrin_25519:

I'm sorry I didn't mean to, I just met with my FM and she says these red trucks@are going up to 625K before they get rid of them and that we are going strictly with the Prostars in the future. I'm glad I'm here. I really like it here, I will stay here till I retire. Take Care TD24

I don't get offended easily, don't even think that i am. I am happy for you and hope it gets even better. I heard these Prostars are a one time deal. Once these 1200 or whatever it is go into the fleet, then that's it. In the future the plan is all KW from what I understand. I actually prefer the Prostar over the KW because of the nicer interior. I am glad to be here also and also am enjoying it.

I see that this is Conway site...Great ! I was just approved for Orientation and Boot Camp in Joplin. It took a while cuz management wasn't real fond of my school. Yet, I think they liked me, good MVR, eager, HazMat, Passport, etc. My question is how's the actual training and finishing? I was trained primarily in a cabover with a 40 footer, although I did have some time in the conv cab. I am better than average in skills and handling, but concerned that I am going to Boot with a basic limitation, that being cabover 9 Speed. Got any feedback?

I went to school at Crowder and thus didn't have to do boot camp, but here are my 2 cents anyway.

If you pick up things fast, you should be fine I would think. Memorize the the shift pattern for a 13 speed transmissons before going if you can, will probably help. Most likely you will use a T2000 13 speed at both Crowder Boot camp and CWTL orientation.

I have never driven a cab over and have only ever pulled 53' trailers (crowder doesn't use anything shorter) so unfortunately I can't comment on how similiar/diferent it will be, sorry. I wish you the best of luck though, keep us updated on how it goes for you :)

Katey, I saw this post and thought "Katey could answer thiso one" and the next post was yours, you are on the ball!

I'm in Joplin still I was finally put on the board last night I just was called to local dispatch, I had my choice of runs several short runs from here going around here, or I could pickup acrossed the street and go to my place in Springville Ut. I was at a few weeks ago, while I have been here I have talked to several drivers and staff, I met my FM and I attended the monthly Drivers appreciation luncheon held on the first Saturday of each month, they had the spread here today, they also had Blue Bunny Ice Cream for Desert. This place rocks, I have heard story after story how they go out of the way to get things done for the drivers. Not at all like the company I came from.

    Be Safe TD24
