I found a load I want to run. loads first thing in the AM. won't leave me enough time to go back and have tires put on so I'm thinking I may just bite the bullet and try a set of Kelly KDA that I can have put on here today while i'm on my 34

I'll tell ya the KC area is a pretty good area. decent rates out of there and the tulsa area. I can live with $1.78/mi all day long

I might be wrong but i believe you will like those kelly's.
I had them on my last truck pulling a cow trailer & flatbed & they really held up good.

I heard an ad for Schneider today on sat radio that said they have Internet in the truck?? Is it where you can hook your laptop to it to run the load board or do you need an Internet card from your cell phone company?

Sounds silly unless there has been a change in the law since I have been out of trucking. I knew plenty of guys that ran new steer tires on their drives as a rule to make sure the tire was sound first. I have had brand new tires fail...

You must be at a t/a or petro Al, cuz they have a company policy that they will not install used tires on the steer axle. Only new tires can be installed.

the internet in the truck is on the qualcoms. they have the new touch screen quailcoms with about an 8" screen. don't think i'd be wanting to surf porn on the pumpkins network tho.. lol

It is a ta but the manager agreed with me it's okay as long as it's a legal steer tire with no repairs. I know we used to put steers on drives all the time before putting them up front.

however as it turned out my steer has deteriorated so fast it's no longer legal and none of the 4 drives I was replacing were legal so I couldn't keep one in it's place so I had to buy a steer tire. And I had to pay cash for it out of my truck payment. I guess I hope my check is better this week then I think it's going to be or it's bouncing again

well I booked a few more loads. $1.50 from here to st. louis and $1.80 to new caney tx. in all it should be $3500 week which isn't too shabby with two days off in the middle of the week. ####. 70 hr rule
