ok so i'm guessing that the stop and go traffic and right turns is the biggest pain about driveing new england never mind boston or NY
-
blktop-bucanear Thanks this.
-
Driving up there is just a pain in itself, lot lizards are pretty darn gross, I wouldn't let one on my step let alone in my trucktruck they carry things they have not even named yet
-
Ok any other good questions about Conway Truckload? Like my signature says, I love it here, if I can help anyone with anything about them let me know.
-
Do they have a chain policy? Are drivers required to chain when the laws are in effect or is their policy to shut down and wait it out?
Do they have APUs on the trucks?
Are the trucks auto or manual transmission?
Are they on elogs yet? -
No
13 speed or 10 Speed
Elogs rock!!
Now allow me to explain, if you don't think it is safe for you to travel, they by all means find a safe place and shut it down, now if you have to chain to get to where you can shut down then so be it. I hope this helps.
P.S. they allow you to idle if the temp is below 45' Or above 72' so if that works for you get in touch with recruiting.Last edited: Jun 10, 2011
DenaliDad, venne, Son of a Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ok well here it all is
DAY 1- paper work reverifying your application and signing tons more typical paper work. Also standard DOT drug/physical
Day 2- a little more paperwork and videos on safety
DAY 3- Backing test and driving test as well as going over the basics of safe driving using the SMITH System
DAY4- Company policies, benefits, intro to E-logs and test on E-logs as well as driving portion of SMITH System
DAY 5- Wake up and post what you did previous days since you slacked off
I would say it's good training and if you listen you learn a lot, good safety rules nothin too crazy, e-logs were easy to pick up, instructor is good all in all not too bad for an orientation -
Sounds just like mine back in April. Nothing to it
