concord nc...truck still isnt good, as i expected. im not sure if i should try to repower this load, would get out of nj so thats a plus, and let them keep trying or keep going and see if the sayreville shop can do something with it. 3rd shops a charm maybe? hahaha...i gave myself the weekend to get it fixed, so thats basically 2 days wasted, although i did need a reset...not a 60 hour reset, but meh.

Doing the Sysco/Guest run? It should be a round trip. Wait to go some other place than Sayreville. Good Luck.

####! well its running way too hot. it will start to overheat if i get another heavy load. ive been skating by with furniture. no one has a clue. my guess is still oil cooler, or better yet if they run any sort of thermostat for the oil, or bypass for the cooler-i have no idea if such a thing is there. i had a big custom oil cooler with a thermostat set up on one of my cars. to keep it from running too cold with normal driving...but everyone keeps dicking with just the coolant related things. they wanted to do a waterpump next but being the unqualified non expert i am i still dont think thats it haha.

im down here so i can at least load it on time for them, and there should be time to get it there with another driver. the last thing i want to do is push my luck and break down, especially up there.

Sounds like a possible water pump issue to me.....is your water pump leaking?

nope. thats what i thought at first after the the thermostat. but running empty the coolant temps stay fine but the oil temp is still like 226-230. its usually only 215 empty 217 light and not more than 220 heavy on level ground. for the coolant to affect oil temps like that it would have to be staying pretty hot. i think. i googled last week and theres no info but someone somewhere with a kenworth/cummins they had with the same issue and it was the oil cooler. and it makes perfect sense if theres a bypass somewhere...if it were just clogged i would think it would cause some oil pressure issues along with everything.
