But it didn't. It just showed that you would quote misinformation that was presented to you. You accepted it as they hoped it would be accepted, to prove what a good job they were doing. In all reality it does not present the facts necessary to analyze the effectiveness of any of their safety programs.

I don't see why we should accept mandatory E-logs as inevitable. The government isn't God.

Hey Tazz...
"Your wrong."
If you're going to correct me, please use proper grammar... it's "you're wrong".
I read that document until my eyes crossed, so I still don't know if I'm really wrong - no fair dropping a 987 page document on me... -

Injun Thanks this.

Well. Mr. Tazz has no credibility with me. He only supports enforcement of laws he agrees with, saying "It's the Law. Just obey it." Until, that is, someone attacks his holy grail. Drugs. In the World According to Tazz, drugs would be legal all the time. Whether at home, babysitting children, on the job or on the roads.
But don't you DARE fudge your log book by 15 minutes. That will KILL somebody!Roadmedic, Cowmobile, diesel_weasel and 1 other person Thank this. -

Okay if I was harsh, that was not my intention. I do believe that is hogwash posted by those wanting to make it look like they are doing a good job. It has always been that way in politics and government.
I won't waste my time looking through their 900 pages of crap to find one paragraph to prove my point. I welcome anyone that can post some official statistics on commercial vehicles only, that prove these regulations are making a difference. I challenge someone to do it. Just don't post the propaganda that they present hoping we won't notice it is long on filler and short on facts.
I really don't think you can find this elusive data because it does not portray the results that they wish to portray. The government would rather lie, pat themselves on the back and inflate the results of their efforts than present real results that might possibly even show an improvement. So good luck on finding some real facts.Meltom Thanks this. -
I think it would be a cool study for someone to do, but count this guy out. I didn't like school all that much when I was in it and case studies were about the worst. Although I do like observing people and finding what makes them tick.
And don't sweat being harsh, i'm the guy at my company that gets to make all the "bad news" phone calls. In one ear, rattles around in that empty space for a bit and echoes out the other side.BigJohn54 Thanks this. -
Thanks for this point Injun! That is exactly what I was trying to say in the last paragraph of post # 73. So many of us will support something that takes our freedom because we think it is a good idea. Trading freedom for any thing is a bad deal. We give the lives of our sons and daughters to afford freedom to developing nations but we trade it when it suits us. What's wrong with this picture.
