I should be back in Gary on Tuesday evening to drop my truck and then head home. Would be happy to answer any questions you guys might have.

How was it? What all did you do on qualification day?

It was a overall good experience, the orientation is in a trailer(not truck trailer, more like a mobile home), first day at orientation they send you to a medical office nearby and do the physical and they check your blood pressure and heartrate first and after each test you take they'll check your heartrate and after that they have you do the drug screen consisting of urine and hair follicle test and if you don't have enough head hair, they'll take it from your chest or armpit. There's a guy failed the physical because he's applying for flatbed position and he failed the balance test they take for flatbed position, it's like a wooden board that you have to walk front and back and cannot fall off of it.

You'll do a road evaluation test on the first or second day of orientation, and following days they'll have presentation and videos to show you and paperwork and have your photo ID taken, give you your TCH and Comdata card, magnet card to access Roehl facility, and nothing really special on the qualification day though. You go with a trainer after that day.

Each day at orientation Roehl will give you $8.50 vouchers to eat at Around the Clock or Zantes, I prefer Around the Clock, it's a dine-in restaurant and Zantes is a fast food restaurant.

Anyways, the guy at orientation is named Bill, and he's a cool guy, and his supervisor is named Rich, another cool guy. But I don't know if they will be directing your orientations though, because there are more people there directing orientations.

At the terminal they have laundry rooms and you can wash and dry your clothes for free, and bunkrooms to sleep, and courtesy car you can use to go out and buy things, etc

For those of you following other threads, do NOT punch *that* Bill. He doesn't like that.

Is that Little Bill, Roehl's gift to flatbedding with his nine months of actual experience?
