No luck changing my DAC, but a lot of companies take what J.B. Hunt puts on DAC reports with a grain of salt. It is hard getting in the door with a large carrier with a bad DAC, but I am happy working with a small carrier. They actually treat you like a real person.

I told the true on my applications with what happened with J.B. and most of the smaller companies I talked too don't use DAC reports anymore and listened to me tell my side and 4 of the 5 offered me positions.

I make $5000-10000 less then with J.B. Hunt, but I don't have to deliver to NYC 5 days a week and dont do a lot of city driving anymore. The pace of life in TN is much more laid back and drivers seem more happy around here then in the Northeast.

I am not saying J.B. is a bad company, it really depends on the account and who the general manager on the account is. I have no problem with the 3 previous GM's at the account, only the most recent. I think I would still be there if I had one of the previous GM's.

I worked the intermodal out of Harrisburg and Bethlehem whenever they needed help or things were slow at Rite Aid. I never had any problems with them and all the loads were easy. If things get slow with intermodal, they will let you help other accounts that are really busy. I used to love helping out other accounts, would get a flat rate usually between $200 to $300 for an easy deliver.

J.B. Hunt has the Coca-Cola acct in Bethlehem, so you might help them out sometimes.

    I wish you Good Luck!!

Get slow with intermodal? Yeah right that's a good one. Unless the price of diesel suddenly drops below $2 a gallon I doubt there is much chance of intermodal slowing down. I haven't had a single slow day yet. We are having trouble moving the containers out of the railyard as fast as the train keeps bringing them in.
